President is mis-spending money
Mr. President, we do not need a high-speed rail for $98 billion. Excessive cost with little benefit. We do not need tunnels under the Delta for water transport to the south. Did you know we already have a canal taking water to the south? Delta Mendota, does that ring a bell?
Without enough water flow, salt water makes its way up the Delta, then our precious peat land in the Delta will be worthless. Salt water is not conducive to growing vegetables. So put your tunnels at the source of the Delta, as everything below will be dead from salt water.
If you owe favors to Southern California, then you have to do whatever it takes, regardless of the outcome. Water flow has to be maintained to keep salt out. So our fresh water in the short-term will feed Kesteron corporate farmers from the lower Central Valley. That is big money talking, and Los Angeles will also share.
Desalinization plants for Los Angeles are out of the question. That will cost Los Angeles a bundle of money. Tunnels are of very little cost to Los Angeles. California taxpayers will pay dearly for this one. I think we are getting close to the answer.
And by the way, make it expensive to outsource jobs to foreign countries and paying to be friends in countries we have never heard of. When you come to California, we have more cities than just Los Angeles and San Francisco.

Ben: The proper terms for use by BO are LA and SF not Bakersfield, Fresno, Sacramento, or Modesto or Red Bluff...they don't speak liberalese. BO,s BS talks...our money walks. Got a problem? Tax it!

And here we see why we so desperately need to revamp our high school civics programs.

It's true they are using federal grant dollars but I don't think Obama was involved in planning the high speed rail.

The Obama administration launched the high-speed rail program using about $8 billion in economic stimulus funding.

I'm pretty sure the President is not involved with the high speed rail project, the Delta tunnels or desalinization plants that would be the Gov..
