I am writing this letter in strong support of Boyce Jeffries, director of the Parks & Recreation Department with the city of Galt. Boyce Jeffries has accomplished several essential projects within the city of Galt, and continues to make our parks a better place for families to vacation and enjoy.

I have spoken with Jeffries on several occasions over new developments within the city and how each park has a personal touch with the community in mind. Boyce Jeffries took his position several years ago and made great sacrifices to help Galt clean up dilapidated parks and install newer equipment so the Galt community could enjoy family and friends with outside activities. The citizens of Galt enjoy fine maintained parks, public facilities and the prospect to enjoy recreation through the year.

After years of honesty, enthusiasm and putting the community first, this was not the kind of reward I had expected to see from our recently chosen city council members. The professional behavior and assertiveness is what makes Boyce Jeffries, an impressive citizen and talented employee with the city of Galt. It deeply frustrates me his efforts are quickly overlooked and dread this might be a gigantic error made in exasperation. I am requesting our present city of Galt Council revisit the decision and search for a practical avenue that will benefit all enmeshed. It is my opinion, this current verdict will affect the city in an undesirable way and may establish a custom for future business with the city.
