Obama doesn't share wealth

Well, the Democrats are ready to ram another huge bill through. So much for the transparency and bipartisanship that President Obama promised.

Oh, yes, we were supposed to see the bill for 72 hours before a vote. This Senate bill that hadn't even been written, originally over 2,000 pages and now another 500 pages (probably all the bribes and goodies handed out to recalcitrant senators). Only Harry Reid knows what is in the bill.

The Democrats own the health care bill and the budget bill (increasing spending by 12 percent over last year adding over a trillion dollars to the federal deficit) lock, stock and barrel. No more blaming George Bush. This totalitarian administration has shown utter contempt for the people when they arrogantly shove legislation down our throats that over 60 percent of us oppose.

What kind of people have we elected to Congress who are supposed to represent the people but vote blindly for huge bills of great consequence without demanding a chance to read and study the bill before voting? They should all be voted out next November.

Obama's Jobs Summit was a bad joke. If you want to create jobs, you don't exclude the Chamber of Commerce and groups that represent small business. Andy Stern, the head of the Service Employees International Union (who made 22 trips to the White House) was there. We need to read the health care bill to see if doctors and nurses will be forced into the SEIU. This is payback for the millions the SEIU put into Obama's campaign.

This administration is the most economically illiterate in history. Only about 10 percent have had any business experience. They are mostly lawyers, academics and ideologues with their heads in the clouds. Their first action should be to take a course in Economics 101.

China has said it can't buy more U.S. Treasury bills, so Obama will have to print more money, causing inflation. Instead of spreading the wealth, Obama's legacy will be sharing poverty. God help our children and grandchildren who will be saddled with all this debt.

Right on, Gray Cloud. Obama passes himself off as a getto product while he went to the most prestigious high school in Hawaii and Harvard Law. What a joke!

Obama, Reid and Pelosi -- The most horrifying cast of crooks that I've ever seen. They should make movie about these crazies; call it "Meet the Caulkers". A story of criminal legislators who caulk together every other page in the hope that no one will notice what thieves they have become. It ends with a life sentence working together as handymen in an Illinois terrorist detention center.

Phyllis, you are exactly right; we ***were*** promised 72 hour examination of any bill set to go before a vote. What no one seems to get is that our current system is less a "two party" system and more a relay race.Clinton handed the baton to Jr. Bush; Jr. Bush handed it to Obama; but they are all pursuing the SAME agenda....which is to screw the American people. WAKE UP!!!

"Boehner told reporters that the president has not invited House GOP leaders to the White House for meetings on healthcare reform since the end of April. f1968 actually offers Timothy Geithner as a stellar representative of the Obama administration? Now that's rich, but completely understandable. The people who now surround our president aren't too unlike Geithner - f1968 didn't have much to choose from.As for what Bush left behind - oh, I think it's way past time for that old excuse to die a natural death. Obama wanted this job. He knew precisely what he was getting into when he began his campaign. Now that he's in so far over his head the only thing he (and his followers) can rely on is that the American people might also continue to look toward President Bush to lay blame. But clearly that isn't working for them anymore. Americans are very angry; and it's not Bush they're directing that anger toward. Since January we've had nothing but failure after failure with this Democrat-led government. Starting in 2010 we will begin to see a cleaning of the Congress. Then we'll wait for 2012.We'll survive this mess; but at what cost?

Phyllis has as valid a reason to voice her opinion as anyone else does. Just because she doesn't refer to sources for information that others deem authoritative certainly doesn't mean she doesn't have a mind of her own.

Ms. Roche is wrong on a number of points. President Obama tried to engage the Republicans and their only answer was NO. Congress is elected by a majority of voters in each of their states or districts. President Obama was elected by a majority of American voters, this is not totalitarianism. This bill has been debated for months. A lot of the President's advisors come from the business sector, ie., Timothy Geithner. One last comment. I guess all you Republicans have short-term memory loss. George W. Bush left president Obama a trillion dollar deficit and two wars.

I agree with sparky. Election, what was it that she said that made you think that she was regurgitating material from the John Birch Society rather than voicing her own opinion or, in the alternative, the truth?Didn't Obama promise transparency in this bill? Have the people recieved the level of transparency he promised? Did he exclude the Chamber of Commerce from the jobs summit? Is it true that the majority of the Obama administration has no or little business experience? Seriously, I don't keep up on every development, so I am asking this in sincerity.

Election year, I see you know how to throw out meaningless jabs at Ms. Roche, yet you failed to actually specifically dispute one single thing she said. Typical liberal tactic.

The only thing Obsms has going for him is the fact that he is a skilled orator. He can only get by on BS for so long. He talks a good game but hasn't put even ONE point on the scoreboard. If he was a NFL coach he would have been tossed out on his rear long ago, as well he should be.
