Please allow me to celebrate the 2008 San Joaquin County Fair and its annual showcase of student agriculture.

I found this year's 4-H, FFA and independent presenters well informed and equipped with the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities to share their selected projects with the public. Those whom I spoke with were well equipped to answer questions with detail and zeal.

This next generation of our valley's agricultural businesspersons is a shining example of the real value of extended education supported by family values. These upcoming Farmer/Ranchers enjoyed endless hours of steadfast assistance and guidance by family members and advisors, which facilitated the success of their project. Also, Barn Management, volunteers, fair staff, and Friends of the San Joaquin Fair (student awards and scholarships) are a model of support, which significantly contributed to the success of this event.

Vice President

2nd Agricultural Association Board of Directors
