Over a year ago I was forced to pay for a water meter, but have yet to receive a bill from the city of Lodi for my metered usage.

I thought the purpose of having a water meter installed was to have everyone pay for the water that they actually used. Apparently I'm still going to have to pay the city of Lodi for a baseless amount in addition to paying for a meter that still goes unused. Now that was money well spent!

And remember, the city will be watching water usage in order to "adjust" the charge for wastewater, i.e., the more water you use, the higher the wastewater charge will be.

And shame on the LNS for deleting and disabling the comments on the Mayor Mounce letter.

What is she or the LNS afraid of?

All part of the master plan. Squeeze the last drop and even it will go to the highest bidder. Regulate right into unreasonable existance and then to nothing. Ding - Just solved the too many people issue.
It's what I see as the truth. Pesimistic or not.

An Mr. Boger.......be careful what you wish for. I suspect that even the smallest water users will see significant increases in their water bills.

Mr. Boger - if you go to the COL website and click on the "water meter FAQ's" you will find the date (depending on when your meter was installed) that the usage will begin being metered.
