Here are some random thoughts about the achievements and ideas of our conservative Republican friends:

The two greatest financial disasters in American history happened under their watch after being in power for eight years, in both 1929 and 2008.

The biggest terrorist attack in American history on Sept. 11, 2001, with much new information coming out that they completely ignored many warnings of its approach.

The war in Iraq, searching for non-existent weapons of mass destruction which is by any measure certainly one of the biggest policy blunders of all time.

Seventy-eight percent of the national debt before President Obama was put there by conservative Republicans.

There are several states with Republican majorities mandating invasive ultrasounds before having an abortion for women who have been raped or victims of incest.

Since 1961, the Republicans have held the White House 28 years, the Democrats 24. Republicans created 24 million, the Democrats 42 million in four less years.

President Bush appointed a horse lawyer to FEMA who could not figure out how to get water to victims of Hurricane Katrina.

Republicans passing strict voter ID laws openly admitting that they are doing it for partisan political purposes.

Republicans routinely vote against laws that demand equal pay for equal work for women.

The use of supply side economics — or as Bush the Elder so aptly put it, “voodoo economics” — has led to the hollowing out of the middle class.

They have a bias against science, especially arithmetic.

The list is much, much larger, but due to word count constraints I will stop here.
