Is it because he is No. 1?

I am not defending Tiger Woods. He should not have married Elin if he knew he was going to cheat.

What bothers me is he is being torn to pieces. He is self-employed, and the best there is. I don't like the way he gets mad and throws clubs, but that is a different story.

Bill Clinton, who never had a real job like Tiger, cheated with more women then Tiger, (I don't care about Monica) and he lied to the people of the United States costing millions in investigations, etc. He did not lose his job and he now has a $1 million house (the cost of the Secret Service to rent space to protect him pays the payment on the house)! He goes all over the globe speaking for big bucks, and Tiger is losing endorsements and everyone is out to kick while he is down.

Is because he is No. 1? Doesn't he deserve the same treatment as Clinton?

It now appears that Tiger Woods may have valid medical reasons for his infidelity. Recent reports say Tiger may be dealing with dual addictions – sex addiction, and addiction to 2 prescription drugs that boost the male sex drive as a side effect. See the article entitled Tiger Woods Infidelity Due to Sex Addiction Plus Drugs that Boosted His Sex Drive at http://bit.ly/80n21c If there are medical reasons for Tiger’s behavior, that certainly puts things in a different light. I seem to have missed the part where what goes on in Tiger Woods marriage is any of our business. He's a golfer. That has nothing to do with the way our lives will turn out, nothing to do with the way the country is run. I feel with politicians it is our business but sports figures and celebrities do not affect us and they should be left to deal with their private lives on their own.

I have a hard time finding much empathy for Tiger Woods. The man didn't lose his job: he voluntarily took a time-out. He'll be back on the course in 6 mos and making millions.

I think Tiger needs to "Stick" with what Bill Clinton said before a Grand Jury: "I never had sex with that woman!"Well, yes, he should rephrase it to mean:"I did not have Sex with any of those Women"!It worked for Slick "Willie" so to be non-racially discriminating, it should work for Tiger as well! "Fair is Fair"!

Mr. Vetica, first I doubt that upon marrying his wife, Woods "knew" that he was going to cheat on her. Your letter contains a whole lot of suppositions about both Tiger and Bill Clinton, not all verifiable. With both of these men we have no idea how many women they chose to cheat with; but we do know that they did. But to suggest that Tiger Wood would rather be treated in the same manner as Bill Clinton by society is a stretch. The dust has long-since settled on the Monica Lewinski debacle; Woods is just now beginning to "enjoy" the rewards for his wayward ways.Yes, the public does enjoy kicking people when they're down; especially when they're icons. At least Woods is taking his licks in private and so far hasn't offered any pathetic lies or excuses.I would think that after this is all said and done, the golfer will return to the links, make his gazillions of dollars and then perhaps join the president in the clubhouse for drinks and a bit of reveling in their conquests.
