Don’t change a school that works

It was with disgust that I read that Erin Lenzi, vice principal, was being moved to Tokay High School. Lodi High School has benefited from high-quality administrators, classified staff and teachers who all work well together, and they should not be punished because other schools do not have the same quality of administrators.

The individuals who made this decision to move these administrators around should look at who they have in these positions, and remove the individuals who are not doing their jobs correctly. They should hire quality administrators to take over these jobs, not punish those who are doing their jobs well. You should not change what is working well at Lodi High!

I am sorry but I fail to see why this is a punishment. Tokay High School has long been thought by long time residents of Lodi to be 2nd class but as a parent of a Tokay High student I must disagree. My daughter is receiving a great education at Tokay and happens to have over a 4.0 grade point average. All schools have their downsides, even Lodi High but don't downgrade an entire school based on "history". Tokay has a prominent place in this town even though it is widely and openly regarded as a "punishment".
