When will President Obama start governing?

Who is running this country? Nobody in government knows anything. President Obama is out fundraising. Vice President Biden is hiding in a bunker somewhere.

Michelle is in a snit. The U.N. ambassador lies to us and our allies and gets promoted. The new U.N. ambassador is more of an apologist than Obama. Some clueless lawyer is taking over leading the CIA. The FBI director “knows nothing!”

The IRS lies to us and takes the Fifth. Even our respected military is being sucked into the vortex of spin and obsfucation. The outgoing and incoming Secretaries of State need to be “swift-boated.” The Attorney General commits perjury and arrogantly says “in your face!”

Thank you, Obama. Your allies in the labor unions, illegal aliens, food stamp recipients, left wing losers, and most head-in-the-sand Democrats will still vote for you, but even they ask, when will you start governing? Frustration will not beat dirty politics, but we’d better activate some Tea Parties and people who still respect the Constitution and rule of law.

Obama is a disaster and Obamacare hasn’t even kicked in yet. Brace yourselves. More to come. When will you/we reach our limit?

    Exactly! [thumbup]

When did Amendment 14, and Article II, Section 1, Paragraph 5 of the United States Constitution become "conspiracy theory" Mike?
    ROFLMAO...[lol]

What? Joanne was too close to the truth?

When is the LNS going to pull the plug on andrew? Of all the people who post here, it is he who generates animus which requires Simon's intervention.
He's nothing more than a weak cyberbully whose continual insistence on far right wing conspiratorial videos and articles (which he just copies and pastes) the LNS just accepts and posts.

And you delete Joanne's posts when she just points out he does. Maybe you should look around and see if other newspapers allow what andrew does. My guess is they don't and he no longer posts in them because they've either given him the boot or he has given up trying to post.

What is a red flag is that so many people actually believe them!!

What ever part of their brain filters information correctly as good content and crap was broken long ago.

But honestly, I'm so sick of the andrew shuffle. Outlandish claim to ridicule to name calling to here's 5 more of the same doctored video. AND ALL THE COPY AND PASTED MATERIAL! I will say that since the LNS wouldn't let people copy and paste letters to the editor, andrew has been welcomingly quiet.

I want to read here what Joe thinks of stuff and the other conservatives. I don't want to read the stuff andrew copies and pastes. Actually, I never read them anyway or watch the ridicuolous parade of youtube videos, but I like to comment on them anyways as if I did. See how formulaic this whole thing is?

I don't know if you read Daniel Hutchins stuff, but he's a conspiracy theorist as well, but he and andrew are as different as night and day. Daniel really believes it and can search out a subject and take action. andrew just copies and pastes stuff based on the number of words it has or some other criteria. None of it is original, while Daniel could write a book on why a certain kind of flag means this and a different one means something else.

Occasionally andrew tries to sidle up to Daniel (trying to gain legitimacy). Daniel usually ignores him or rebuffs him. Daniel has made stands of what he believes (even if he got it wrong). andrew just sits in the back making noises with his hand in his armpit.

But Joanne: Reconsider. It's a youtube video and it's on the internet.
    It must be true!!

But actually, the time is long past for some sort of exit for andrew. Simon doesn't understand that this is not a conspiracy website, but may be likely becoming one as andrew and the others link posts as "evidence".
Personally, I can't stand conspiracy websites. They are nothing more than paranoid gathering sites for people with no objective mental abilities and even fewer social skills.

Mike, sometimes you crack me up.like your 9:57am Sun. post. I got that info that you responded to from the Cornell University School of Law. website. I was just proving that Obama is not the first to accomplish what he has. No conspiracy there. BTW, I watched Sirhan Sirhan shoot RFK,the chaos that ensued, and his take down live on tv between 8:00 and 8:30am when I was in 4th grade. No conspiracy there.I met Kevin Richardson of BSB just a couple weeks after the release of Never Gone. He, nor Bryan,Howie,AJ,or Nick are part of N Sync led by Justin Timberlake. No conspiracy there. The other conspiracies mentioned, I couldn't care enough to give 2 shakes of a glass .... about. But thanks for the lighthearted advice.I always try to keep that in mind.[smile]

Robert, Robert...... please don't attempt to cloud the issue or otherwise explain the assertion with facts. In the world of conspiracy theorists, only information from the internet is to be considered true and accurate. Not all information mind you, but only the parts that are most unlikely to believed by normal people. Some examples:
George H. W. Bush is running world affairs (and was at least partially
    responsible for the JFK assassination
Government operatives laced WTC 1, 2, and 7 with explosives so that just in
case one day, terrorists flew two jumbo jets into 1 and 2, they
could demolished and our government could pin the blame on
someone else. WTC 7 wasn't supposed to come down, but
GHWB accidentally hit the remote trigger he had at home,
thinking he was changing the channel so he could watch "The
    Price is Right"
The government is always spraying us with something, but only on the days
there is enough cold air in the upper atmosphere to leave
    evidence.
Paul died in 1965 and was replaced by a look alike.
Bill and Hillary Clinton had many, many people executed that got in the way
of their climb to the top, like Vince Foster and Ron Brown.
The original Homer Simpson was seamlessly replaced by another who then
was in charge of ....... I better not say....A United airliner is
passing overhead ready to leave "chemtrails" on my lawn. Or
the contents of their holding tanks.
JFK was shot at by at least 22 different people during his last motorcade.
RFK was not shot by Sirhan B. Sirhan, but a UN hit man dressed as a
restaurant worker, who was seen by no one.
The Back Street Boys and nSync are the same people.
Durp! is a word created by Matt Stone and Trey Parker, some time ago
starting around the time of cannibal the musical. it is a term of
saying something along the lines of "oh *&%# i am _-_-_-_
OoOoOoOoO". More people might recognize it the word with
the character Mr. Durp whom replaced Chef, and when he
would say something stupid would hit himself in the head with
a hammer. The person using "durp" is the ******* i_i_t, not the
person he is addressing. (Thanks Urban Dictionary).

I hope this will be of some aid the next time you try reason, logic, and truth.

Actually, Obama is a "natural born " citizen, since his mother was born in Kansas and he was born in Hawaii, instead of a "naturalized" citizen, born in another country to foreign parents, then becoming a US citizen. As Mike alluded to earlier, children born on US soil are considered "natural born" US citizens. However, Mr. Liebich is correct in his assessment that a president must be at least a 2nd generation citizen to be eligible..Obama is the 7th president to have 1 parent from another country. The difference is that all became "naturalized" citizens, with the exception of Chester Allen Arthur's father from Ireland, who was not a US citizen, as well as Obama Sr. who never became a US citizen.

    An OPOLOGIST.

A person with such a sycophantic love of Obama that they have surrendered any form of logic and reason in their defense of him.

BOTH parents have to be U. S. Citizens. Obama's father WAS NEVER a U. S. Citizen, therefore, Barack Hussein Obama is NOT a "natural born" Citizen of the United States, thus he is in violation of Amendment 14, and Article II, Section 1, Paragraph 5 of the United States Constitution.

In the case Mr. Baxter referred to, It is obvious to me that Zimmerman was stalking Martin, in his car, on foot, in view at every turn, and finally, in his face, resulting in the a.. whooping he deserved and got and the deadly result for Martin, in which the whole incident would have been avoided had Zimmerman stayed in his car, took a couple pictures with his cell phone and gave the info to responding officers, like a responsible neighborhood watch leader and not Robocop. The fact he was carrying a concealed and loaded weapon shows intent, in my opinion.Mr.Zimmerman CAUSED Trayvon Martin's death.Eric Holder said on the news that he also would like the DOJ to investigate the case. The DOJ should also investigate the case Joanne mentioned in her 6:50am post. Last Sunday, a suspicious person was in my best friend's neighborhood in which a car drove slowly, stopped, backed up, drove forward and repeated this procedure several times, drove around the block, turned around and repeated stop and go procedure. One of his neighbors called LPD and got in his car and followed, stopped and confronted the subject, since there had been several thefts and a vehicle theft on that block recently. The man explained that he was "filming raccoons". When LPD arrived, he told them the same story. LPD let the subject go and proceeded to lecture and admonish the concerned citizen. This should be a common sense lesson:call police, watch inconspicuously from a distance, take pictures and document any details which could help police, and never confront someone suspicious. They may fear for their life and end yours, and be found innocent in a court of law, even though he may have a rap sheet as thick as a novel.

First, Baxxter, I don't have to "play the race card." After all, I live in Lodi where it plays itself daily.

"Setting race relations back to pre-50's levels?" Really? Have we seen any young black men hanging from trees in Alabama, Mississippi, or anywhere for that matter lately? THAT would be pre-50's levels.

A "legal court of law?" Is there any other type? Oh, yeah, I suppose in pre-50's there were the courts of law of the KKK that doled out white supremacist justice.

Actually, there is a black woman in Florida who fired a warning shot at her abusive husband. She's serving 20 years for attempted murder. No "stand your ground" for her, eh?

And just HOW is the president "sticking his nose" into this case? Oh, that's right, he hasn't - only to have a statement issued from his office that THE LAW WAS FOLLOWED in this case. But I'm sure that in your twisted mind you have heard differently from - where? FOX, Limbaugh?

I just pray that there is never a "stand your ground" law here in California. If there was, the Baxxters of the world would be out in droves provoking incidents like this one and proclaiming "self-defense."

Article 2 section1 clause5 was suspended and superceded by amendment 12 in 1804. Was that a test question? It only changed the vote to individual votes for president and vice-president instead of who got the majority vote was president and vice president was second regardless of stated position. The duty of the president is to uphold the constitution and it is not set in stone. That is why we have an amendment process which must be ratified by congress and senate by a 66% vote.(or is it 60%now?)if changes are to be made to the constitution. A presidential candidate must be a US born citizen,35 years old and must have resided in the US 14 consecutive years before running for office.Don't give me crap that Obama was an indonesian citizen. That is impossible;he was too young to attain citizenship there, since he was too young at that time and an immigrant must be at least 13 years old to be eligible for citizenship.I dislike Obama's Anticapitalistic views, but at least catch him doing an impeachable, not this crap about singlehandedly altering the constitution. Presidents from the beginning of US history have been granted leeway.

You could not possibly coined a 4-letter word. Two is your max, and you don't have any of them. Too bad all the one letter words are taken.

"Why does Article II, Section 1, clause 5 of our Constitution leave the Obama apologists so dumbfounded? It clearly states the eligibility requirements and President Pinnocchio clearly does NOT meet those requirements as indicated by Mike's 5:50 post."

As Joanne said....why don't you sue the President Obama if you have reason to believe he is not the President? There are a lot smarter guys than you (this includes almost everyone, including me, and hey..Joanne too) that know you're just ....ing on a flat rock. DURP!

What ever happened to: "sofa king idiotic"?

Or do you just use what ever the original author's syntax as well has his words when you copy and paste?

Actually, Robert got it all right at the top this afternoon. Unable to defeat him in a general election, the repulseicans hope to win the Senate in '14, hold on to the house and then impeach him. The republicans just hate it that a Democrat is President and for shame,...a Black man at that! Such cry babies.

The conspiracy theorists just hate anyone who is president because they think George Herbert Walker Bush is running the world and they would like to get one right at least once in almost 250 years.

Between the conspiracy theorists and the republicans, their list of charges reads like one of those old New Year's predictions the Enquirer used to print with Jeane Dixon's predictions. So Dan Marino didn't save the space shuttle?

What I was trying to do here, Mike, was attempt to establish that Obama was born in Hawaii to Ann Dunham(an american citizen) thus making him a born in the USA citizen, eligible for presidency.Upon further investigation, I found 3 items of proof that Obama jr. was born in Hawaii. I wasn't sure of the birth certificate issue that I questioned and you answered(thank you).1.Obama finally released his birth certificate.2. 2 local newspapers published notices of birth at the time.3. Obama's parents did not have the money to go back to Kenya, have the baby, and return to the US. I, too wonder why all this crap keeps coming back after it's been proven. I rembered all this from old news reports after finding and reading it last night.[thumbup]to your last 2 questions.

Come on Robert.... Don't go down the kooky crooked street of andrew......

What is there to a birth record?
    Names of the parents
    Names of the child
    Names of the grandparents (sometimes)
    Name of the attending
    Name of the hospital
Name of the county and/or state where birth occurred
    Length and weight of child

This seems to be standard all over the world.
Birth certificates in the US are fairly uniform AND aside from census and taxes are a state function.

Why all this concern over President Obama's place of birth (and it has been settled beyond question...except for conspiracy loons)?

Why does no one contest all the birth certificates for the children of Mexican nationals who cross the border to have children with US citizenship?

Hey Bobbin, Obama, a week or 10 days later, stated that liberal organizations had also been singled out for extra attention by the IRS.

That should take care of the 6:24 PM Sunday rebuttal

575 US troops died in Afghanistan during the Bush presidency. By August 18, 2010, following two troop surges initiated by President Obama, that number had doubled. Today, over 1500 US troops have died in Afghanistan since President Obama took office—and yet, little in that war-torn country has changed.
So where are the daily death stats that CNN used to post stating name, rank, how killed, where they were from, when Bush was in office. Where is Code Pink now? Oh, that's right- it wasn't about the war, it was about George Bush.

Even the unions are calling Obamacare a trainwreck. Guess they should have listened to the Tin Foil Hat Brigade when we tried to tell them. "The leaders of three major U.S. unions, including the highly influential Teamsters, have sent a scathing open letter to Democratic leaders in Congress, warning that unless changes are made, President Obama’s health care reform plan will “destroy the foundation of the 40 hour work week that is the backbone of the American middle class.”
If that’s not bad enough, the Affordable Care Act, if not modified, will “destroy the very health and wellbeing of our members along with millions of other hardworking Americans,” the letter says.

What the LIBERALS fail to mention is, the DEMOCRATS ran both the House and Senate the last two years of Bush's presidency. With a super majority, Bush was unable to do a lot of things he wanted to do, i.e. audit Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. When it all unraveled, it was convenient to blame Bush. If you have sailors boring holes in the bottom of the ship, I and the captain's hands are tied, guess it is still the captain's fault when it sinks?

Under whose definition is he not a natural born citizen?

And when did Obama's father become the president?

Of course not. Obama Sr. was a native Kenyan of the Luo tribe who earned a scholarship to a university in Hawaii ( thanks to the US president at the time)where he met, married, had Obama Jr. divorced and moved on to Harvard before returning to Kenya

Unless the laws have changed, an individual cannot file suit against a president in office, anymore than a police officer can detain a senator or congress official for a traffic violation while enroute to official business. Regarding Obama's birth,Hawaii joined the US in 1959. Obama was born there in 1961. Do you think birth/death records as well as other documentation was as accurate and up to the standards of the rest of the states within a 2 year period? I personally doubt it. According to the book Obama Nation,by Jerome Corsi, Obama's parents met while attending a University in Hawaii and Obama was born during this time. Within a couple years, they divorced and Obama sr. pursued his degree at Harvard on a scholarship before returning to Kenya to pursue a political career. In Obama's early childhood, he attended a muslim school for 2 or 3 years before attending more traditional schools. Moving to different locations during this time, while in Kenya has raised many questions, some verifiable, some not.

Thanks Joanne for the clarification. The conspiracy movement is made up of "useful idiots" who believe only the issues of the fringe. Issues that are dismissed by normal people.

"The Department of Defense casualty reports are NOT "conspiracy theory"" No they are not. Misrepresenting their contents and/or outright lying about their content is the domain of the conspiracy theorists. The evaluations by conspiracy theorists are uniformly "off".
Again, why haven't any federal courts ruled President Obama "illegitimate" and forced him from office? Hint: They actually are Constitutional experts while you (and other conspiracy nuts like you) aren't.

The President doesn't need, Joanne Bobbin to run "interference". He has the Constitution of the United States.

Or here's another way of looking at it: All you bring is more conspiracy theories, all of which have been for the most part disproved. The one's that haven't been disproved have been entirely discredited. That you foolishly remain attached to such "heady" notions is more a reflection of your difficult mental faculties, than a measurement of truth.

And to settle your pretend interpretation of Article II of the Constitution, there must be tens of thousands of individuals who have standing who could file suit in federal court to challenge President Obama's legitimacy, yet we have not heard of any cases where a federal court , any federal court, has stated that President Obama cannot be president.

No, what you, and people like you whose opinions you steal, have are "great" Americans such as Donald Trump and Arizona Sheriff Joe Arpaio along with the entire flock of conspiracy nuts who bring a sense of foolishness that stains every other issue, legitimate or not, they might raise.

Why don't you just file a law suit, Mr. Liebich?

If you are so convinced that Obama is violating US law and that the US government is covering up the "fact" that he was born outside the US, then you have a great case. Maybe that would keep you busy doing something "useful."

As for the IRS "scandal," it has already been determined that both conservative and progressive organizations were scrutinized for their tax exempt status or applications for same, but Darrell Issa has refused to let it go and close down his witch hunt.

I guess you, Mr. Kinderman, must have been sleeping during the Bush Administration when he started two wars that he paid for "off the books."

OOPS! I misspoke, ha ha....he DIDN'T pay for them and left the cost in Obama's lap. Not to mention his great Medicare Part D fiasco - still unpaid.

You're right. We should leave the interpretation of our basis for government to groups such as www.freerepublic.com, where you copied and pasted this from. And of course, your pretend job at infowars .com or alex jones.

Yes, all the great legal minds this country produces who ACTUALLY are specialists in the CONSTITUTION have it all wrong. We should leave heady issues like this to conspiracy theorists.

In your rebuttal, please don't forget the obligatory you tube video and a list of democrats you have quoted out of context or might have an axe to grind to shore up your response.

Mr. Hartung - is that really all you’ve got, that simply because someone believes this president to be wrong makes them a hateful racist? That song and dance has been overplayed to the point where it no one with half a brain buys into it anymore.

Clearly, when it comes to nation being divided over racial lines it’s the Democrats who keep it that way. Especially now that so-called Obamacare is proving to be bad for the country, you MUST keep the racist/hatred mantra alive and well. I think it’s you who are angry because no one really cares that we have a black guy as president. He could be white, brown, pink, green or any other color - he’s just bad for America.

Democrats have been accusing the Tea Party people as racist, hateful and oh-so-angry ever since they started being effective. But tell me please - during all organized Tea Party gatherings where is the hate; where is the racism; where are the arrests? I’ve never seen any group that has treated people with more respect than the Tea Partiers. On the other hand, viciously angry Democrats (liberals/progressives) are the first ones out the gate with their vitriolic name-calling and threats. So much for inclusion, huh?

As far as the turning the economy around? It’s been over five years since this economy turned sour - yet unemployment is still terribly high, more taxes are on the way and still economic growth is tepid at best. The only states reporting half-decent growth are led by Republicans. I wonder why that might be.

So as far as advising anyone to relax, I would suggest that you consider your own advice. But you are entitled to your own opinion and I know of no one who would suggest otherwise.

On the other hand – I would have suggested to Mr. Osgood that a little proof-reading might have served him and his letter better. Frankly, I don’t care what kind of “snit” the First Lady might be experiencing; no one voted for her and as far as I know, she holds no official position in our government. For the most part I’ve just ignored her.

As far as IRS officials asserting their Constitutional right under the Fifth Amendment, not only is it their right to not incriminate themselves, but by doing so it’s prima facie proof that they are hiding something. (It’s one of those double-edged sword kind of thingies.)

Finally, the kind of “governing” we’ve been experiencing under this president is precisely what he promised – and the majority of voters wanted it in 2008 and 2012. Still, those who oppose those promises and the things he’s doing to carry them out still have the absolute right to vocally stand our ground against him.

Relax there big guy. My head is not in the sand, voted for the guy that that has turned the economy around and is for equal rights and treating people with respect...unlike you and the nasty hateful types. Do you ever sit back and realize you are just mad because a black guy is president? Keep your racist hatred to yourself.
