Lodi concert association deserves recognition

There have recently been two nice articles about concerts. One was in the News-Sentinel — a picture showing a concert performed for school children — and the other in the Lodi monthly magazine praising Esther Kemalyan-Roche, who is performing a piano concert at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 17 at Hutchins Street Square.

Neither article mentioned who was presenting either concert. I feel that it is important to bring that out.

The Lodi Community Concert Association started in Lodi over 65 years ago, and is made up of unpaid volunteers, officers, board members and works all sponsors.

Because of their devotion to promoting music programs for Lodi, they present five enjoyable concerts each year at an affordable price. They also present a children's outreach concert for elementary students in Lodi schools — paying for musicians, renting buses and a concert hall.

My feeling is that they should have been given credit in these articles for presenting these wonderful performances.
