Obviously I am not a politician or would never be caught with incendiary language like, "Do we really have enough stupid people in this country to re-elect Barrack Obama?" The answer is "yes." Conversely, did only stupid people re-elect Obama? No. An apathetic populace did. What does it take to inspire people to get off the couch and vote?

The union mindset has infected far too many people. Community organizers know this; agitate, tout class warfare, racism, all the old canards. Karl Marx knew this; Stalin, Mao, Castro, Chavez, Guevara, Axelrod and Obama. It is so easy to stir up the masses with drivel like, "Make the rich pay their fair share." What nonsense.

Am I more worthy than thou? Go get shot at sometime, then you will understand what your fair share is. Nobody owes you anything — nothing. Earn your share and pay your dues. Are we not equal? Do I owe more than you? I don't think so.

John F. Kennedy said, "Ask not ..." If you don't know the rest, you are hopeless. As is Obama.

Of course I take umbrage with the notion that our president has ever been "attacked." No, even during the election he was held to account for things he did and for those things he promised to do but failed to carry out.

So are you seriously suggesting that from here on out as citizens we're no longer permitted to call our Chief Executive onto the carpet for things we believe are going wrong with the nation that are within his area of responsibility?

I'm sorry Mr. Ingram, but it simply doesn't work that way - and we need only look to President Obama's treatment of former President Bush during his (Obama's) first four years as president. Clearly, everything that challenged the new president was the fault of the old one. I would suggest that if anyone should be left alone now it would be George W. Bush. Agree or disagree?

Obama and the liberals want everyone to be mad at those mean old people who have earned their wealth and won't give it to the moochers. It worked well enough to get him re-elected. Here are some Federal Income Tax facts direct from the CBO:
According to the CBO, the top 1 percent of income earners paid 39 percent of federal individual income taxes in 2009, while earning 13 percent of the income. That is down from 2007, before President Obama was elected. In 2007, after 25 years of Reagan Republican tax policies, the top 1 percent paid 40 percent of federal individual income taxes — more than double the 17.6 percent share of taxes paid by the top 1 percent when President Reagan entered office in 1981.
    The CBO also reports that:
In 2009, the bottom 40 percent of income earners were paid cash equal to 10 percent of federal individual income taxes by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), net of any federal income taxes they paid.
In that same year, the middle 20 percent of income earners — the true middle class — paid a net 2.7 percent of total federal individual income taxes, while earning 15 percent of before-tax income.
And the top 20 percent of income earners — those earning more than $74,000 — paid 94 percent of federal individual income taxes, 85 percent more than the share of national income they earned.
Altogether the bottom 60 percent of income earners, which includes the middle class, paid zero percent of total federal individual income taxes as a group. Instead, as a group, they received net cash payments from the IRS.

And a good Sunday to all of you too! :)

My sentiments on the whole darn agenda either way? Unless you are a needy child who cannot help that they have no parents, or can't help what lifestyle their parents have chosen; or an American citizen over 65 and paid your dues to SS and/or union/employee retirement funds, etc; or are military vets; or are a truly permanently disabled American citizen, then I say work for pay, even if it means washing dishes at McDonalds or serving Tacos at Taco Bell.

I myself, am not a wealthy person. However I have relatives and friends who may be considered in the top 2& and to the best of my knowledge their wealth was well deserved and they are some of the most charitable people I know. The wealthy should not be punished for their wealth, unless illegally gained. I would venture to say that in-spite of loopholes, they pay the bulk of all US tax revenue.

We have Barrack Obama for president the next 4 yrs. Unless we find cause for impeachment, or some high crime, we the people must hope for the best. Do not be surprised before the end of that term, that an agenda may rise to get him another term. So if that is not your wish, you'd better watch and elect people who will do their best to stop such a move.

Well Sir You have the right to say what You believe, and I won't even remind You that the election is OVER and the time to attack our president is done.

I did not vote because bribery is still legal, some spell it 'lobbying', but it is still bribery.

To quote DB: "classy post Mike..".. We'll have a beer someday Mikey! Or a coke..I don't drink. You are correct and have my respect as well. I do believe in giving...just not through the gov...which as a business man you probably did as well. It is sad to me to see a business of 100 years go away...but many of the dairies are in the same boat today.

If you or anyone who posts here is of the age of 60 or more I would like to invite you to the Christmas Dinner at the Grange Hall in Galt on the 16th. If you are over 60 it is free...under 60 it is only $5. Very good food and lots of desert. Services is from the youngin's in the community that volunteer.

And I use the extra hours to do work around the house. Disappointing because it has been a family thing for almost 100 years. There's no other heirs or interested family members to keep it going. Brothers and sisters old too. Neices and nephews would rather do something else.

I appologize for my earlier sarcastic remark. You have done quite a bit for your community, way more than most, especially those who want to sit back and criticize every little thing. If you are not retired yet, you have earned "elder statesman" status, even if you are not that old. My guess is you are still involved in a lot of various causes, some of which conflict with my beliefs, but I will be the first to urge you to continue on. This is why America is great. People, supporting their causes and those with opposite veiws, offering congratulations to their efforts and success.

How do you explain the richest man in the world, liberal Bill Gates, paying 1000's of poverty stricken Indians a salary of $200.00 to $500.00 per month without benefits in Pune, India?

This discussion or rich people is sad and inaccurate. Bill Gates gives billions to Charities...Ronmey gave millions... the idea that rich people do not help disadvantaged people is silly.

Mike, what is they name of that small business you sold? Maybe you can steer business his/her way by posting. What product or serice did it involve?

I am surprised as this is the first post in which you posted anthing other than being a retired teacher. Also, you did not seem to be familiar with the workings of Social Security in previous threads which is odd for a person who ran a successful business. You also said you did not qualify for Social Security which means your business could not have been in existance for very long.

Nearly 75 percent of voters in Wayne County, which includes Detroit, voted for Obama on Nov. 6."

    Hogwash indeed!!

You should probably post that list of filthy rich Democrats. You see the difference between "far more 'filthy rich' Democrats than republicans" is that the Democrats are far more inclusive so obviously, you'll see more rich Democrats, especially the filthy ones (probably filthy probably from working, while rich republicans make millions cheating their employees). Most republicans, because of their collective hate and anger only include those at the top, simultaneously shrinking the middle class almost to non-existence and guaranteeing the fat cats will get richer. Perhaps if you could find an intelligent republican (good luck) and deprogram him from believing everything he hears on Fox and Limbaugh, maybe he could tell others.

Maybe you could publish a list of prominent republican corporate farmers who denounce welfare and free meals for school children while accepting millions in price supports and maybe letting the free market economy they so often promote weed out the weak.

Hogwash and MALARKEY. Owe-Blame-O, you rock!!

Definition of liberal progress is how strong the government has gotten to protect and comfort people who are dependent on government . Of course people who need to be managed, protected and dependent on government for all their success will have a very happy Christmas and "feel"(perceive) like everything is just fine.

I guess everyone is entitled to their delusions... ignorance is blissful after all. Sort of like the passengers on the titanic who were celebrating and joyful....right until they died.

George Soros: The only rich man in the Democratic party.

A simple remedy for President Obama's re-election effort n 2012 was for Romney to get more electorial votes than the President did. They couldn't quite turn that play though. And now we are fortunate enough to have 4 more years of progress to a new, greater America, not one where big brother is cheating you out of all your money, or arresting you for what you do in bed, or keeping old people from getting free fans during a heat wave, all planks of the republican party.
