I am excited to introduce to you my candidate for San Joaquin County Board of Supervisors, District 4: Chuck Winn.

In my time as your city council member, I have been honored to meet many elected officials serving on boards and commissions across the state. The first time I met Chuck Winn, I was impressed by his depth of knowledge on the issues, and it was obvious he had done his “homework.” Chuck was prepared to represent the people who elected him to office. I was very impressed. Not only was Chuck Winn prepared, but he clearly was not a “yes” man. He asked all the right questions and was not going to rubber stamp the important issue of transportation that was being considered.

So, when I found out Chuck was willing to step up to serve as the District 4 county supervisor, I was ready to help. With more than 37 years working with the California Highway Patrol and more than 11 years as a Ripon City Council member, Chuck has the experience to represent Lodi.

Mr. Winn cares about many issues that are important to Lodi, such as our agriculture, our wine industry and protecting our open space. Clearly, Chuck has what it takes to tackle public safety issues, ensuring all those in the district will feel safer in our homes and businesses. Chuck has demonstrated the ability to fight for the citizens he represents. He is also a strong believer in local control, and he would never abandon his core values and principles for political expediency.

Chuck has a reputation for representing everyone, not just the special interests. He will stand up and fight for all of us. I believe Chuck Winn is the right man to represent Lodi and District 4 as our next county supervisor.

I hope you will join me by voting for Chuck Winn on June 3.

Councilwoman
