  Conclusion... How can anyone be civil with you Doug, when you make statements like that. I really have no idea how you drew a conclusion of bigotry from the comments Brian stated. Maybe I am just clueless... this was odd.

  Ask around how Ken Patel runs the Hotel. I have nothing against Jay. I used to live at the Golden Era Hotel. Many who lived at the Star at the time on many occasions were waiting for an opening to get into the Golden Era because they were tired of the situation at the Star. Like many at the Golden Era, I couldn't get my act together. I didn't use drugs, I wasn't a criminal. I just had trouble getting my priorities together. Yes the Patels are Indian Hindus. I have nothing against that. It seems to me you're the one introducing the race card. And I do hope Jay is honest and transparent. Because many people don't feel his Dad is. You do understand the "like Father like son" thing. I'm now married, have 2 children, own a home, Doug. So don't try and discredit me because I once live on Main St. That was almost 15 years ago Mr.

I was sincerely hoping you'd decided not to blog here anymore, as were the majority of bloggers I know and associate with in Lodi/Stockton.
  Mr. Jay Patel, J Johnson and Mr. Amador were the three most impressive candidates at the forum recently. Hansen and Katzakian were the same old tune, with redevelopment and higher electric, water and wastewater/sewer rates on their agendas and wishes for Lodi's future. Haven't those 2 council members, along with Bob Johnson, inflicted enough ecenomic pain on the taxpayers during their tenure. Besides their senior age factor, Katzakian being the youngest at 62, their same old song and dance and their outright pandering to the wealthy, winegrape commission, chamber of commerce, well-connected, family and friends, good old boys, their pet local contractors and developers, DLBP, local restaurateur-spa/developer, etc. With those same three votes just raising electric, and I believe, soon water and sewer/wastewater rates at the recent council meeting, I don't think any of those 3 have any business being representatives of the people of Lodi. When only their special interests groups are their priority, it's time to elect Mr.'s Amador, Patel, Reed or J Johnson.
  2 of my votes will certainly be for Mr. John Johnson and Mr. Jay Patel and I will be choosing my third vote between Mr. Tim Reed and Mr. Tony Amador. I ffirmly believe it's time to have at least one ethnic minority on Lodi city council, and hopefully 2, to finally give the forgotten eastside a say in Lodi politics and business. It's 2010 and time for the redneck political reign in Lodi to finally come to a close and become a government for ALL people, not just a certain few. It's also time for the redneck city hall and management to have some ethnic minorities appointed as department heads, attorneys, managers, supervisors, and also the various and many boards and commissions here that seem to be now, and in the past appointed by the same redneck policy that now exists in Lodi. Time for a real change, vote Amador, Reed J Johnson and Patel!
