Don't give up the freedoms that American lives were given to protect
I am sick and tired of Obama's constant rambling for change. Despite his shameful track record, he still manages to attract a crowd of self-absorbed people who seem hell-bent on bringing America to its knees. Over and over I hear their pathetic cries for change and ceaseless attempts to destroy our sacred capitalist system, the very system guaranteed by our Constitution, the one so many Americans have given their lives to protect. His followers are willing to give up endless freedoms to a socialist society where the successful are punished and the ever-growing non-contributing members of society are rewarded.
What irony that so many of our citizens came here from their home country to escape the trappings of a socialist government, only to be sold out by Obama and his blind followers. Obama continues to push for change and has adopted the slogan, "We can't turn back now." The fact is we must turn back now; turn back to a time when friends stood by friends, children respected their elders, hard work was rewarded, men only married women, TV honored family values and morals, and living a Christian life was a noble endeavor. We need to turn back to a time when the world was not so absorbed with "self" and more concerned with others; a time when all life had value, the sight of Old Glory fluttering in the wind put goose bumps on your arms and no one felt the need to apologize for being American.

My bad. I guess I failed to use the proper protocol to refer someone to the post of Ms Bobin that included a quote from that post. I believed by going to the post you would readily realize the quote was from David Stockman. I failed to "footnote" my post. I never realized someone would perceive I thought the quote was of Ms Bobins creation. None the less it was a great post and Ms Bobin needed credit for brining it to the conversation. Again my apologies.

Ms. Bobin,
Do you have something to substantiate it's just a figment of the imaginations of those 120,000 people who benefitted from 4 Bain startups?

Of course we should believe everything David Stockman wrote in Newsweek about Romney because he was the budget director under Reagan. How convenient for Ms. Bobin. I do not recall her saying anything good about the Reagan Admin. prior to this.

Great point - and one of my major complaints. Is the tactic to frighten everyone about Obama and force them toward Willard Mitt Romney, or give legitimate reasons to vote for Willard?
Obviously the former, because NO ONE can think of REAL reasons to vote for Willard Mitt Romney - how could they - even HE doesn't know what his "plan" is.
Once upon a time - oh, way back in August - he figured he'd recruit Paul Ryan because Ryan actually HAD a plan. FOILED! Too late to the party, Willard Mitt Romney found out everyone HATED Ryan's plan!!
What to do now? LIE, LIE, LIE - tell everyone you never had the plan that you never had that Ryan never had because he thought Obama should support Simpson-Bowles, but turns out Ryan voted AGAINST Simpson-Bowles.
Quit the conundrum!! How do you sell Willard Mitt Romney now?
Oh, that's right - who's tall and white and lies all over? Doesn't matter as long as he's NOT Barack Hussein Obama.

Mr. Barrow stated...Over a dozen letters today stating why we should not vote for Obama but not one states why we should vote for Romney that's pretty much Romney's entire campaign
Its called the Obama syndrome... Obama ran on voting against Bush even though Bush was not running. He also ran on Hope and change... and that was reason enough to vote for Obama...
Well, now than Obama has failed and proven to be incompetent, its now time for “hope and change again.
Except this time, we have someone in Romney with actual experience and success… hope and change was good enough for Obama, should be good enough for Romney

Thank you for clarifying - I noted that the excerpts were from David Stockman's article in Newsweek, but apparently Mr. Heuer inadvertantly credited it to me.
The article in Newsweek is actually an excerpt from David Stockman's new book (and again, David Stockman was RONALD REAGAN'S BUDGET DIRECTOR - obviously a REAL dirtball if he worked for Reagan!) called "The Great Deformation: How Crony Capitalism Corrupts Free Markets and Democracy."
Apparently, Mr. Baumbach needs to brush up on his Google skills, since he came up with a faulty reference (most likely from a belligerent right-winger) to The Daily Beast (bet you had to Google that, too) which has merged with Newsweek.
BTW - The Daily Beast's editor is a refugee from the WSJ - owned by famed corruptor of legitimate news - Rupert Murdoch. I guess a human being can only take so much spin.

The $831,000,000,000 economic “stimulus” that President Obama spearheaded and signed into law requires his administration to release quarterly reports on its effects. But “the most transparent administration in the history of our country” is now four reports behind schedule and has so far not released any reports whatsoever in 2012. Its most recent quarterly report is for the quarter than ended on June 30, 2011.
The Obama administration is now in violation of the president’s most prominent piece of legislation this side of Obamacare.

The entire article “he” wrote is based on a false premise. That is, Romney did not say he is qualified to be president just because of his business experience at Bain. He was also governor of a liberal state which gave him experience working with liberal politicians and getting things done in politics…since he has business experience in the private sector and political experience in the public sector, he is ready for a position that must work well with both.
Conclusion, Obama doess not have any private sector experience and no successful public sector experience… thus is only qualified to be a second rate community organizer and a teleprompter salesman. Romney however, has successfully run a state and a private sector operation… he is qualified to be president
Mr. Heuer only appreciated Ms. Bobin’s post as he enjoys seeing her distort reality. It is not complicated. The middle class is the golden goose that lays the golden eggs for everybody. Every policy that Conservative Republicans articulate is bent on destroying the Golden goose. Big difference between you and I, Mr. Kinderman - I can admit that Obama didn't even bother to show up at the first debate, but he definitely knocked Willard Mitt Romney out of the ring in the second debate, sans teleprompter. Willard attempted once again to dominate the debate by bullying the moderator, but it didn't work this time. Obama was able to shame him so badly that FOX News could only talk about how "rude" and "embarassing" his behavior was.
And to boot, Willard's bully offspring stated that he wanted to "jump out of your seat and you want to rush down to the debate stage and take a swing at him,”
Bullying is obviously a tradition in the Romney family.

I disagree John. Mitt Romney's policies are much worse than those of President Bush's. Romney holds the Bush tax cuts as the default position, as if they are the baseline, before making any real tax cuts the he wants to institute. And further denigrating income derived from work while over-idolizing income derived from financial manipulation will increase income inequality to an unsustainable economic environment.
Jerome Kinderman posted at 11:06 am on Sat, Oct 20, 2012.
I can say without reservation that if a Republican incumbent president were attempting to be re-elected with a similar record as President Barack Hussein Obama's, there wouldn't be a snow-ball's chance in Hades that he would succeed.
Indeed, Obama’s lackluster performance during the first two debates can be attributed to two issues: first (and probably foremost) is the absence of a Teleprompter; and second his lack of a record to fall back on. He can only blame others so often before even the staunchest of liberals/progressives start to roll their eyes.
With just a few days left and no October Surprise in sight, Mitt Romney may very well get his opportunity to right this economic disaster of Obamanomics. There’s only so much money that can be spent on a problem before it’s time to make difficult decisions – before it IS too late. There’s no good reason to re-elect Barack Hussein Obama (I’m not afraid to use his middle name, although the president himself recently admitted that he is); unless pity would be considered a “good” reason. It's not.

Change? Obama has set a course for recovery and is trying to keep us on it despite cconservative ongressional opposition. The cry for change is coming from the conservatives who want to dismantle social security, medicare, education and health programs, environmental concerns, et al, and most of all want to bring us back to the failed policies (lower taxes for the uber wealthy, deregulation,, etc) and worst of all they are anxious to look for the slightest provocation as an excuse to go to war. No Mr Nachand has it backwards the self absorbed conservatives are actually looking for change. And btw no one leaves a socialist country (what ever that is) to come here. They leave opressive or impoverished countries which is what, though unintentional, conservatives want to bring to this country.

Just a couple of short excerpts from the October 22, issue of Newsweek from David Stockman - President Ronald Reagan's Budget Director - the whole article is a VERY interesting read regarding Willard Mitt Romney's self-purported "expertise."
"Nevertheless, Mitt Romney claims that his essential qualification to be president is grounded in his 15 years as head of Bain Capital, from 1984 through early 1999. According to the campaign’s narrative, it was then that he became immersed in the toils of business enterprise, learning along the way the true secrets of how to grow the economy and create jobs."
"Except Mitt Romney was not a businessman; he was a master financial speculator who bought, sold, flipped, and stripped businesses. He did not build enterprises the old-fashioned way—out of inspiration, perspiration, and a long slog in the free market fostering a new product, service, or process of production. Instead, he spent his 15 years raising debt in prodigious amounts on Wall Street so that Bain could purchase the pots and pans and castoffs of corporate America, leverage them to the hilt, gussy them up as reborn “roll-ups,” and then deliver them back to Wall Street for resale—the faster the better."
"That is the modus operandi of the leveraged-buyout business, and in an honest free-market economy, there wouldn’t be much scope for it because it creates little of economic value. But we have a rigged system—a regime of crony capitalism—where the tax code heavily favors debt and capital gains, and the central bank purposefully enables rampant speculation by propping up the price of financial assets and battering down the cost of leveraged finance."
