Mary Avanti, Charles Stocker will be good for Woodbridge Sanitation District

I'm a former Woodbridge Advisory Council director, and I had the opportunity to read the Grand Jury Investigative report into the Woodbridge Sanitation District's reported performance.

Mary Avanti and Charles Stocker are candidates for the Woodbridge Sanitation District Board. They released a campaign statement promising to provide disclosure and oversight, and cited some of the complaints that the Grand Jury was investigating. The Woodbridge Sanitation District sent a rebuttal letter through the mail trying to deny some of the complaints they were cited for. They were all true. They had until September to make these corrections and have complied with most, to the best of my knowledge.

There was nothing false in their campaign piece. And aside from all they were guilty of, the worst in my mind is the falsifying of the waste spillage into our water. I do not ever drink the water from the tap!

I know people wish to serve their communities, but it requires more than the desire to do good. They also need to be qualified. I've served with both of these individuals, and believe they have real backbones and the strength to get in there and clean it up (no pun intended).
