Letter: Voters have changed U.S. into a socialist nation

In 1938, the Nazi Party (German Socialist) passed weapon and gun laws. In 1968, those in our politics passed the gun control act which was based on the translation of the German Socialist laws. Since then, many laws have been passed that are way beyond the USSR and Nazi Germany in regards to arms laws.

Does the president, his vice president and our two California senators want to rewrite the Bill of Rights and the Constitution to quickly change our republic into a socialist dictatorship? Will our police pick up or ask us to surrender our arms?

We know we are not granted police protection. Many laws have been passed but not enforced, but at any time they can be.

Gold coin, bullion and also silver can by law be taken away from voters. Arms by law can be taken away from military veterans.

By the wanting of what others have, the voters have voted away their freedoms. Yes, and changed a republic into a socialist nation.

Oskar Johanson

Joanne: Just FYI, most of the supporting documentation andy has stolen isn't from the NRA. It's from a group who has hijacked the NRA's good name and uses it to promote it's own extremist views. If andy had bothered to check, he probably wouldn't have noticed, since he never bothers to check anything.

This is exactly what happens when someone relies on sites like infowars.wrong where no story is vetted. If it has a scandalous, sleezy title, it's posted. Fact checking? As andy says "ROFLMAO"

MY comment was NOT "inaccurate and misleading" as CA DOJ does confiscate legally registered firearms through it APPS program.

A standstill? ANSWER THE QUESTION! YOU brought up the NRA. [sleeping]

    Seriously Mike? [lol]

A video produced by the NRA on the NRA's own website completely "discrediting" your "just what the NRA believes should be done" statement means I have no merit?

You are too funny! ROFLMAO! [lol][lol][lol]

Well, I suppose we are at a standstill, Mr. Liebich.

YOU STATED (OK - if you don't like the word "claimed") that California law allows the CA DOJ to confiscate legally registered firearms WITHOUT (YOU) QUALIFYING THE REASONS FOR THOSE CONFISCATIONS.

My comment about the NRA was an "aside," just as your usual nonsense that you throw in in the middle of comments that have nothing to do with the topic, such as posting a million times about "treason."

Do you "get" it now - or should I paint you a picture?

You still have not admitted that YOUR comment was inaccurate and misleading, have you? And I don't expect you will, so just consider it a closed topic.

andy: If I cared what someone else thought about this topic, I would read it from them. I have no interest in reading what you have stolen.

BTW: since you must rely on others, you obviously have no idea or information on the topic other than looking up, copying, and pasting their views.

You've been discredited enough times here that you now have no merit.

If the APPS program is, as you stated Mike, "just what the NRA believes should be done" why did the NRA produce the following video? ROFLMAO!

Joanne: I am a strong believer in the second amendment and have been involved in gun related activities my whole life. Contrary to what people like andrew blab (because they never looked into the matter, the law, or it's enforcement, they just repeat what other ignorant people have said or posted in places like infowars.wrong, the law they think they are referring to was just what the NRA, and most gun owners, believe should be done, that is temporarily confiscating the firearms of people determined to be unable to be responsible owners either from being a felon, involved in spousal abuse, those who have physically attacked another, or the mentally ill.

These are the very people we don't want to have guns in their possesion because they have exhibited violent tendencies or are mentally unable to separate fantasy from reality. I personally know people who has lost their firearms as a result of the conditions listed above, and really I feel good about it. I'm fairly sure one of them would have left work and gone home and shot themselves if they had a gun available. A neighbor couldn't buy a gun because he was involved in an alleged violent confrontation with some one (all charges later dropped). All of the mass shooters in recent years have had mental issues that (in CA) would have made them unable to possess firearms.

While gun ownership is a right, rights do and have been temporarily and sometimes permanently removed from those who have demonstrated or have exhibited a pre-disposition to violence.

I can't think of a single responsible gun owner who favors allowing the mentally ill or violent individuals to own firearms.

People who quote scripture to bolster their arguments then turn aroun and spit mean spirited venom directed at someone they don't agree are indeed "Convenient Christians". Chrstian only when it serves their purposes. I have never claimed to be Christian or devout. I don't share my spiritual beliefs nor do I use them to skew arguments like pretend Chritians do.

No one here is saying that. As usual you put words in people's mouth and say that is what they believe. Actually there was a guy who said you should sell everything you own and give it to the poor. His name was Jesus. I doubt you ever heard of him.

You DO realize, Mr. Liebich, that your DEMAND that I answer your question is just a diversion to excuse you from admitting that "California disarming people with legally registered guns" is NOT a violation of the 2nd Amendment as you are claiming - it is enforcing the laws that state that those who own legally registered guns and have committed felonies, are mentally incompetent, etc., DO NOT HAVE THE RIGHT TO OWN THOSE WEAPONS.

Of course you do. You obfuscate, divert, swerve left and right - anything to avoid admitting that your nonsense is of any real value to anyone with a brain because that is the audience you play to - gullible people.

Mr. Baxxter wrote: "Great idea, Bobbin, being the good Christian that you say you are, you should sell EVERYTHING you own and give it to the poor."

Since you get a kick out of calling me a "convenient Christian," Baxxter, by extension you must be EXTREMELY devout and most likely never waiver from Christ's teachings, right?

I suggest you take your own advice because if you are so devout you should do the same as you suggest I do, but the truth is that you certainly do not exemplify one iota of Christ's teachings. Which leaves you with the designation of a hypocrite who dares call others out on their religious beliefs.

Go check with YOUR spiritual advisor, Baxxter, and stop criticizing others' actions unless you can prove you can do exactly the same as you demand of them.

FYI, Mr. Kindseth - as for my comment, I have already commented on Mr. Johanson's silly claims that he makes in this letter since he has written them all in other letters more than once. The man is suffering from what appears to be a decline in his mental faculties.

He doesn't write anything new and he still thinks that all of his letters contain vital information - most of which is FALSE.

Was that PRODUCTIVE enough for you?

To answer your first - the NRA spends millions to prevent any new gun control laws with the lie that a "gun registry" is going to be set-up.

Nut case, Wayne LaPierre lies straightout with these claims, but the NRA has been proven to HAVE THE BIGGEST GUN REGISTRY IN THE NATION.

To address your original nonsense - yes, California law does state that the CA Justice Dept. can confiscate firearms from people who have LOST THE RIGHT TO OWN THEM - felons, mental cases, people convicted of domestic violence, etc.

They are not coming into the homes of just anyone - as YOUR statement implies, which means your statement is entirely INVALID. Get it?

If you want a nut case living next to YOU with guns, legal or not, that's up to you. I personally wouldn't want YOU, armed or unarmed, living in my neighborhood, either.

As for Mr. Johanson's claim about veterans, that was covered in another of his letters. Vets who are not deemed mentally competent cannot own firearms, period. Those who are sane have no problem owning guns.

Have I countered your ridiculous out-of-context claims sufficiently, Mr. Liebich?

Try reading the Bible, Mr. Lauchland. You make silly claims about Christianity, but you don't even know what Jesus said about the poor. Check Matthew and Luke, and here from Mark:

"Mark 10:21-22 Jesus, looking at him, loved him and said, "You lack one thing; go, sell what you own, and give the money to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; then come, follow me." When he heard this, he was shocked and went away grieving, for he had many possessions."

Just a point of interest -

I don't believe Christianity or any religion faired well in socialist/communist Russia.

Please tell me I am wrong.

The only freedom they had was to support their government and boy did they have a strong military and lots of land to do nothing with. No individual incentives. No freedom to take away their freedom. - Why not? -because it wasn't free. You worked for everybody but yourself. How many times can you use the word "free" before it is taken away? Every time it IS free it takes more freedom away.

There is a "sucker" born every day. Socialist bunk that says life isn't fair and it needs to be - by law . Nobody ever said it was fair or should be. Christianity never did either. Do unto others ? -of course. Bring us ALL up by using the free enterprise system to put food in our mouths and make the most of the land we are in charge of. Free enterprise ensures efficiency and affordability. Christianity never told you to be passive to the point of getting stepped on. It also never told you to kill your kids.

Adrenaline surge - super human strength comes from ambition and freedom. The freedom to succeed and the freedom to fail.

    Life ain't over yet !

I can not wait for the new set of laws to come into effect for 2014. Some of which make no sense at all other than to attempt to take more of your freedoms away including the use of water to give to someone else.

I suppose the good ol' American ingenuity born in the article that Mr. Hansen wrote shall eventually overcome our own shooting in the foot with our BB gun. -

What ? - take it away, take it away. Make it against the law !

In 1933 through FDR’s executive order gold became illegal. The people were given a simple choice. Either turn in your gold and be paid the official price for it of, $20-66 an ounce, or be liable for a $10,000 fine and a ten year prison sentence. This confiscation order was very unpopular, it’s author has never been discovered, no Congressman ever claimed to written it and President Roosevelt stated he had not written it, nor ever read it.

History is not "right wing propaganda" Mr. Barrow.

"It's sad" that you don't appear to be aware of the fact that Obama's DHS has issued orders to banks across America which announce to them that “under the Patriot Act” the DHS has the absolute right to seize, without any warrant whatsoever, any and all customer bank accounts, to make “periodic and unannounced” visits to any bank to open and inspect the contents of “selected safe deposit boxes.”

My post on you was not as far as I am concern a slam, however you seem to take it as one, which is your right. Thanks for all the great advice, Ed.

I DO know who Britney Spears is - what I wrote was that I did not "get" why you referenced her in your post in regard to my comment about erroneously posting before I was finished with the comment. Perhaps you should read what you write before you post it, then you would understand when people respond to your intended insults.

BTW - since I have been posting here for about 5 years since they changed the policy to have people use their real names instead of screen names, 3955 posts average less than 800 per year, so if you intended to insult me by mentioning the number of posts, sorry - the arrow missed its mark.

Evidently you do not own a TV, read the papers or bother with the inter-net. If you did, it would be hard to not know who Britney Spears is. The name is most difficult to not see as it appears on one or the other, and I could care less. My favorite music comes from Pandora, with the choice of any music, mine would be the Blues, outstanding, along with Live at Daryl`s house. I left that commercial filled radio years ago and do not have any idea of what popular music is these days. Have a Happy New Year, and make a promise to be kinder to your subjects, starting with Mr. Johanson, oh and BTW, good luck with that new Windows 8.
