Due to an oversight, nominees for this year's Lodi Community Hall of Fame were not assigned a specific area of service when they were approved for induction by the Lodi Boys & Girls Club board on Aug. 15.

Therefore, I would like to use this forum to announce those designations and correct a minor error in the News-Sentinel's Aug. 21 announcement of this year's inductees.

Barbara and Angelo Brovelli were inducted in the area of community service.

Jack Fiori was recognized for his service in government.

Darrel Geweke was inducted in the area of business.

Dr. Jack Leary was inducted in the area of health care.

Dave Lucas was inducted in the area of agriculture.

We would also urge readers who were touched by the service of any of the nominees to join us at 5:30 p.m. Oct. 20 at the Lodi Boys & Girls Club to honor these noteworthy and selfless Lodians.
