My mom and I like to plan day trips now and then to the many wine destination towns such as Saratoga, Sutter Creek, etc., in our area. Before each trip, I like to research the town by looking at their website to find out about events. The websites are very user-friendly and pleasing to the eye.
This made me think of our own city’s website, which is not very user-friendly or pleasing to the eye.
I know there are many web-savvy tourists like myself out there who like to research the places they are visiting, and I feel our city’s website is not a true representation of how wonderful Lodi is. When searching, our www.lodi.gov is the first website that comes up, and it takes more searching to find the Visit Lodi! site from there.
Lodi is becoming a lovely wine destination. Shouldn’t our websites promote that as well, in more pleasing designs?
