Hit-and-run driver needs to take responsibility for actions
Last month while shopping at the Lodi Lowe’s store, my fairly new red Lexus was hit by a hit-and-run driver in their parking lot. A very nice couple who saw the accident broke the news to me as I returned to my car. You can imagine the shock I felt when I saw the right rear fender of my beautiful car smashed in, scratched up, etc. Fortunately for me, they watched as the female driver of the gold/tan truck sped away — obviously afraid to accept responsibility for what she had done. I had the car fixed and picked it up last Saturday. I did pay the $500 deductible out of my pocket for the repairs, which were almost $3,000.
I had hoped with the police report and the cameras outside Lowe’s that the driver of the pickup truck would be found, but so far she hasn’t been.
Somewhere out there is a truck with a whole lot of red paint on its right side. If you are the driver of this truck, I feel sorry for you. I don’t believe in karma, but I do believe that what goes around comes around.

I've always thought that the word KARMA is a "new age" term...originating from other than the Christian belief. I do believe that God has a hand in all things...and sometimes bad things happen to good people for a reason. With that in mind...I don't believe in KARMA. Sorry.

Hahaha.....Evelyn - "what goes around, comes around" IS Karma......

Diane, I think you are right about that parking lot. It seems to be a melting pot for panhandlers too. Maybe next time I go to Lowe's I'll park over in the AAA parking lot next door!
P.S. Last weekend I met a woman who also had a hit and run in that parking lot.

I was in the Lowes parking lot this weekend on my four wheel bike. There was a family walking down the main lane across the front of the store three wide. Not even tightly packed three wide, there was room for another pedestrian between them. The driver behind them was obviously upset with them. The lot in general seems to be one of the worst ones to be in. I don't recall seeing much in the way of parking lot security there. There may be, but I don't recall seeing it.

Sometimes bad things happen to good people...I'm sure in your lifetime, Robert, you've been a victim, too.

The same thing happened to me at Lowe's. I went to the front desk and reported it and they pulled out surveillance video that showed a white truck driving away and that's all that they could up with. Lowe's is not a happy parking lot to be in.

Mr Kinderman stated... Huh/
May I ask, was your comment directed to her statement of..." I don’t believe in karma, but I do believe that what goes around comes around. ?"
If so, my thought is.... I agree... but I do not agree.

According to the two witnesses it was an older lady driving a tan/gold truck, they said it had a narrow bed...she sped off so quickly they couldn't take down the plate #. For those of us who do pay for our insurance and try to take care of our automobiles it's very frustrating. Now I'm just waiting for my insurance rates to go up.

Mrs. Thorpe, I understand your frustration.
I was recently hit in a shopping center parking lot by a woman who showed me her current insurance card. Turns out she did not keep up on the payments, so she was un-insured.
Ironically, your description of the truck is very similar to the woman's truck who hit me. Was it a 4-Door 4-WD Dodge Ram?
