It's compelling for me to write this letter because the issue is so heart wrenching. It's embarrassing to know this ridiculous matter got so far out of control on prayer.

I defy anyone to go to another country anywhere around the world and disrupt and interfere in their way of life, their rules and laws of their land and of their government.

This is a challenge for the agnostics. We know what the results would be. It's been proven to us numerous times on national television. I'm so disillusioned to know and I repeat, this matter went too far.

My family fought for our country, as well as many others, for the freedoms we hold so dear to our hearts; my uncle in World War I and members of my family in every other war, including a brother-in-law wounded at the battle on Iwo Jima who dealt with shrapnel in his body for the rest of his life. Also, the entanglement and carnage we are having to deal with at the present time.

If this matter gets any further attention then woe be it to all true Americans and our brave and dedicated troops who are sacrificing their all in the far east.

Freedom is not free! An old cliché simply put - bad men win because good men do nothing.

at Arlington are crosses, stars of David, Sanghas, crescents, and even simple pillars to reflect the beliefs, if known, of those who gave the last full measure. My uncle too, carried shrapnel in his body for the rest of his life. The mortar crew that got him wore belt buckles translated as 'God is with us.'

Nice letter, Vi; but you forgot one thing. Our brave men and women fighting the wars based on lies aren't just Christians....no, they're Muslim, Jewish, Buddhist, Hindu, agnostic, atheist, etc. Please remember that.

Should graduations return to the Grape Bowl?

Lodi Unified leaders are moving Lodi and Tokay high school graduations from the Grape Bowl to the Spanos Center at UOP in Stockton. They cite limited seating, costs and unpredictable weather at the Grape Bowl. But others say graduations at the Grape Bowl are an important Lodi tradition, and one reason many supported renovating the stadium. What do you think?
