Congressional District 9 deserves experience, not an ‘upstart’
Congressman Jerry McNerney is the clear choice to represent the constituents of Congressional District 9. With his tenured experience in Congress, knowledge of District 9's critical needs and commitment to represent us, we don't need to change horses in the middle of the stream. He has a firm grasp of the issues facing our district. He has represented most of us well as representative of District 11. Due to redistricting he will now represent us well in District 9.
As he stated in the Stockton Record, his three signature issues are the economy — creating jobs nationally and locally — veterans' needs and protecting the Delta. Other critical issues to him are education and reducing crime in our district.
He is a member of the House Committee on Veterans Affairs. He has brought a new veterans' medical clinic to our community, passed legislation to help veterans with PTSD, and helped them navigate the mired obstacles to getting their needs met. He is a strong defender of Medicare and Social Security.
His opponent is a young man who just turned old enough to run for Congress. He has had no real job experience, has never run for public office and is just recently out of college. He may be a very nice young man, but it appears he, his family and the "Teapublican" party is trying to pull a Meg Whitman on the constituents of District 9 and buy the office. The Manteca Bulletin called Ricky Gill a 25-year-old upstart.
We deserve better than this. Please vote for Congressman McNerney for District 9.

It is quite amusing that Mr. Baumbach is constantly chanting that Jerry McNerny votes the way Nancy Pelosi tells him to vote.
Then applauds Ricky Gill for vowing to vote the straight Republican line if elected.
First BAD.
Second GOOD.
Kind of hypocritical thinking, that.
If you think about it - Ricky Gill doesn't need any experience to serve in Congress - he just needs to ape his fellow Republicans.

"Mr. Giills age is a silly argument" if it were coupled with some kind of experience. If a school kid runs thats ok? No experience of any kind? Or are you of the conservative mind that any one who is likely to vote radical conservative agenda thats all you need. Great. What a concerned American you are.

Yes, and Jack Kennedy was barelyold enoughto run for president. If we considered young age a factor, we wouldnot have had the good fortune to have president Kennedy in pur history books... Mr. Giills age is a silly argument not appropriate for this campaign.

Vote for McNerney if you want liberal left wing legislation put in force.
Vote for Gill if you want conservative thinking and legislation put in force. For example,
Gill will vote to repeal Obama"not"care, and NcNerney has vowed to keepObama"notcare as law.
It is that simple. Everything else is smoke and mirrors.
