Letter: It would be good to have a businessman as San Joaquin County supervisor

On May 21, there was a letter saying why Russ Munson should not be a supervisor, “Russ Munson is not the right choice for supervisor,” by Jane Lea.

I have lived here since 1989. Russ and partners have done a great job with Wine and Roses, and Rosewood, and I am sure many other developments. Maybe those of us who worked in the private sector are being outnumbered by those with some sort of government job.

Wine and Roses is a crown jewel of Lodi. When my sister and her husband come to visit, and other friends, they either stay at Wine and Roses or with me, but insist on going there for a meal.

Why Russ was turned down for a new wedding location by either the city or county is beyond me.

I like the fact you will have a real businessman in office. Remember, Russ signs the front of the checks, not the back. He has my vote.

    Real businessman in office.
How great would that be? I believe everyone is fed up with the politics that have played out over the last few years at the Board of Supervisors; catering to special interest groups rather than common sense. I agree with Mr. Vetica, let's start getting business folks like Russ Munson in office.
