I'm sure there are other towns with cute, colloquial descriptors, and probably even some with their own apps. But right here in the "Triple L" (OK — livable, lovable, Lodi), we are graced with our very own wine growing appellation and, yup, the LoCa smartphone app to help show off our stuff.

There is something very home-grown and comfortable about tasting really good wine in the shadows of old barns and tin sheds, their rebirth now pleasantly enjoyed by newer folks. No long, winding driveways up a hill to stone and ivy-covered wine castles here. And, nope, no rude, long-nosed wine servers either. Completely devoid of hyped heritage and unnecessary pretentiousness, more likely than not, here it is the winemakers proudly serving up their best vintage. Why, ask nicely and they'll even let you prune a vine or two, and maybe help bottle some up.

Yup, there really is a very "loca" and friendly feel about "our app" — right down here in the Triple L. Pretty hard to beat, and I'm thinking, why go anywhere else?
