Letter: President Obama should champion all children

President Obama has expressed outrage at the killing of innocent children during the chemical bombing in Syria that was launched by their own government. And he has the right to be, as should all of us.

However, one would wish that he would be as equally outraged at the slaughtering of more than 50 million innocent children in abortion, which has been approved by their own government.

In both cases, innocent children have been killed. In both cases, the government led the assault. However, in the chemical bombing case, he is outraged, but in the abortion case, he champions the cause.

Which is it, Mr. Obama? Are you for all children or just a select few? Tortured logic indeed!

Why my comment in reply to this was deleted, I don't know. I can only believe that Andrew Liebich has cohorts that continually support him in this forum.

The youtube video is OBVIOUSLY edited. The people being asked to "sign this fake petition" ABSOLUTELY CANNOT be identified as Obama supporters. They are more likely responding to the key word "infanticide."

Liebich responded: "A ridiculous claim that the video was "fake" and that those who signed it weren't Obama supporters was made. No "evidence" was provided."

NO evidence was provided that they could be POSITIVELY identified as Obama supporters.

Another bogus claim made by Liebich with NO substantiation.

it is amazing to me that these giants of compassion are always cutting support for children in healthcare, education, and food stamps. They are the same people who said that we had the greatest health system in the world. The health system that we pay a trillion extra dollars a year for and yet millions suffer, die and go bankrupt which does not happen in every other developed country in the world. Republican morality is an oxymoron and being against abortion does not even begin to make up for it.

When it comes to taking a life, pro-abortion liberals are all for it. But when it comes to defending your life with a legal firearm, liberals are aggressively opposed to it.

So let me get this straight: Murder is okay but self defense is evil?[huh]

Check out these Obama supporters([sleeping]) actually signing a petition to back making infanticide (post-birth abortion) legal under Obamacare.

Sister Simone Campbell, of course NOT a Christian, according to some like Jerry, has stated words to the effect, "when do the rights of the unborn usurp the rights of the already born?"

"During a House Budget Committee hearing Wednesday, Sister Simone Campbell, a Catholic nun and executive director of NETWORK, a Catholic social justice lobby, testified to lawmakers about the effectiveness of government subsidized welfare programs and public-private partnerships with faith-based charities. Campbell highlighted the foundational nature of charity and economic justice to the Catholic Church and heralded the difference that federal assistance programs such as the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP, formerly known as food stamps), the Earned Income Tax Credit, and Head Start initiatives have made in the lives of America’s most vulnerable.

But not everyone at the hearing was happy with Campbell’s faith-based support for federal programs that help the poor. Instead of focusing on how the government can assist the millions of Americans who struggle to put food on the table, Rep. Reid Ribble (R-WI) indicted Campbell and the Catholic Church for not doing enough to fix poverty on their own, asking, “What is the church doing wrong that they have to come to the government to get so much help?”

Campbell shot back, “Justice comes before charity… Everyone has a right to eat, and therefore there is a governmental responsibility to ensure everyone’s capacity to eat. Love and care makes a difference, but the issues are so big there isn’t sufficient charitable dollars there.”

    Misdirected animosity.

Frank and Jerry seek attention. They need a target to direct their angst at. They need to blame somebody for America's woes. They don't wan't the truth.

The Supreme Court made abortion legal in 1973.

The Justices are nominated by a president and approved by congress.

According to my handy chart below...

Republican presidents have successfully "stacked the deck" and appointed 13 juctices. The Democratic presidents have only picked 4 Justices. Yes, only 4 total! Poor Jimmy Carter didn't get to replace any!!

    Richard Milhous Nixon (R) 1969 to 1974 - 4 Justices
    Gerald Rudolph Ford, Jr. (R) 1974 to 1977 - 1 Justices
    James Earl Carter, Jr. (D) 1977 to 1981 - 0 Justices
    Ronald Wilson Reagan (R) 1981 to 1989 - 4 Justices
    George Herbert Walker Bush (R) 1989 to 1993 - 2 Justices
    William Jefferson Clinton (D) 1993 to 2001 - 2 Justices
    George Walker Bush (R) 2001 to 2009 - 2 Justices
Barack Hussein Obama II (D) 2009 to present - 2 Justices

    [huh]

Again with the "one breath of fresh air."

You do know that most abortions are performed at 9 weeks or less?

That makes it 31 weeks and "one breath of fresh air" that separates 98% of aborted fetuses from protection.

Just one breath of fresh air separates certain children from protection under the Constitution. All it would take would be a little “compassion,” something the political left says they’re full of. Well, since 1973 they’ve proven they’re full of something - but it certainly isn’t compassion.

The president likes children right? He surrounds himself with them constantly to help bolster his political agenda. When it comes to children who get in the way of his political agenda, however, it’s a different story...
