I want to recognize all who voted in this month’s primary election for the candidates of their choice. This is a great country, and to vote is truly a privilege many throughout the world can only dream about. I am grateful for every vote I received.

Also, I want to personally thank fellow Board of Supervisors District 4 candidates Manuel Lopez and Russ Munson for focusing on the issues rather than personal attacks, as was the case in some other races. I enjoyed a friendly relationship with both of them, and appreciated their professionalism during the numerous candidate forums and meetings we attended.

Fortunately, I had great supporters who worked extremely hard to spread our message throughout the district. Each one was a tremendous asset and I could not have made it to the November runoff without their help. Most importantly, my wife Karon was always there to encourage me. To all of them, I offer my deepest appreciation.

During the past nine months, I met with residents all over the district. They shared their concerns and offered opinions on how they would like to see the county proceed. Those conversations will greatly assist me in articulating their vision for the future as I work hard to represent them as member of the San Joaquin County Board of Supervisors.
