Teen car washes not an environmental threat

If teenager car washes are a major threat to the environment, it's news to me.

From your article, "Public works reportedly declares stormwater runoff the number one source of water pollution in the country."

I would suggest, however, that Public Works' (roughly) 5 million pounds of inorganic material released into the river each year, and the like amount released over the aquifer, are each bigger sources than the stormwater from Lodi's streets.

I would very much like to see more of Public Works' attention paid to their own industrial-scale, treatment plant discharges, and less to teenager car washes.
