On Feb. 25, the San Joaquin County Taxpayers Association requested that the State Controller's Office investigate and prepare a full audit on Stockton's general fund and RDA financials by the State Controller's Office.

At a recent news conference, Stockton's city manager recognized that Stockton's financial dilemma is, in part, due to fiscal mismanagement in recent years. The SJCTA believes an independent audit will be most effective. Citizens of Stockton want to know how their money was spent and the SJCTA will continue to provide oversight for responsible government.
