Mr. Nakanishi, you, as well as Larry Hansen and Phil Katzakian are too old to lead Lodi and need to retire-period. Youryears as an assembly member accomplished nothing except an extra paycheck, and IMO, anyone who has the wealth and resources you do that has to "borrow" cash from your assembly position rainy day slush fund is not my kind of politician. And you danced all around the issue of LEUD without an answer and an earlier question had you replying that LEUD was competive and would survive. With the national average of a KWH at 11 cents per hour, LEUD's 14.5 KWH is 30% higher than most cities in the US, and 40-50% higher than some states that have reasonable electric rates. And your council friends last week, Robert Johnson, Hansen and Katzakian voted for a new electric rate structure and yet another new rate raise to be implemented imediately. We don't need any more same old and it's time for the younger generation to start leading their own generation to success. Your good old boys and their way of thinking and fleecing of Lodi has gotten this city deep into debt.

Should graduations return to the Grape Bowl?

Lodi Unified leaders are moving Lodi and Tokay high school graduations from the Grape Bowl to the Spanos Center at UOP in Stockton. They cite limited seating, costs and unpredictable weather at the Grape Bowl. But others say graduations at the Grape Bowl are an important Lodi tradition, and one reason many supported renovating the stadium. What do you think?
