Your "major polluter" employer can simply buy carbon credits and continue polluting.

I'm shocked that Mr. Kindseth would stoop to using vulgar names when he disagrees with someone's opinion.

I thought you were a religious man?

Some cannot argue or state facts intelligently. All they do is act like condescending bullies which I do not fear but pity. Sorry i make things too simple.out of the complex.[wink]

Thank you, kim; I have connections and updates on the state levels which validate your points. I can even tell you where to not take your car for repairs, since I get updates quarterly on shops who are fined or shut down due to illegal practices.Where I am there are no smog test requirements and the air is cleaner. Why? All of today's cars are clean burning. I have personally smog tested countless cars and know through experience that air pollution has been twisted to be a pollitical hoax when it comes to automobiles in Ca. You are absolutely correct regarding Chan who along with people like him are allowed to commit white collar crimes. It makes me irate as it should anyone with an IQ of 4. Has anyone out there had to give up their car which got 40+mpg just to be forced to buy something that only gets 22-38 mpg depending on ambient air temperature? It is called planned obsolescence. I went to school for this and I know for fact it is all a sham. I am certified and licenced in these areas so bring on your stupidity and I will be more than willing to make the truth through state documentation which I have received.

    Another conspiracy theorist heard from.

I suppose that if I was employed in an industry that was a major polluter, I too would think global warming was a hoax. Self preservation.

It is a proven fact that many global warming studies, hailed as gospel by the environmentalist zealots, have entirely eliminated the Midieval Warming period from their reports. The hockey stick theory has been debunked, the tree ring studies they have relied on were falsified. Tran of California Air Resources Board falsified his educational records for his position with the state and is still employed there, but a whislteblower that spoke up has been fired. The fleecing of America and the most successful Public Relations scam in history

I presume "when I worked at General Mills" indicates that Mr. Maurer is no longer there. Thankfully!!

He stated: "Co2 is simply air without oxygen."

Wow, time to get back to school - at least for a 6th or 7th grade science class.

What do you think the O2 in CO2 means?

I recently looked at some statistics that showed that almost 25% of Lodi's adult population had not graduated from high school. This comment certainly backs that statistic.

when I worked at General Mills ,there was a large co2 tank in the mix plant parking lot which was used(possibly with a refrigerant)to ice the the bin and cool the blueberry muffin mix on line 27a on summer days so that the mix remained in powder form so it would not become a damp, pasty mess like concrete to be packaged.Co2 causes global warming?Co2 is simply air without oxygen.A simple experiment may be performed to prove this: take a 5 foot long pipe with a 1 inch diameter and pinch your nose shut, put the pipe in your mouth and breathe in and out through it. Within a matter of seconds, you will start feeling lightheaded, color will dim to gray, and unconsciousness will occur. The best place to do this ,is in water over your head, with the pipe in the air so that you breathe only the air from the pipe. DO NOT DO THIS EXPERIMENT ALONE!!!

Have either of you ever been to or heard of a carbonated beverage protest?

Thanks Joanne this was succinctly clever. I needed a good laugh this morning. You made my day.

Will those who willingly pay their carbon taxes and believe in global warming ever realize that carbonated beverages are carbonated with CO2?

There is a lot of non-info on the Internet. But intelligent people can sort that out. As for Mr. Hansen's opinion, he has a right to it. But as a member of the media, he should hold himself to a higher standard. Instead, he chooses to mislead. And LNS allows it.

Because everything on the Internet is true, right?

FYI, Dr. Hansen, Russia ratified the Kyoto Protocol, but are upset because it goes light on the US and China, the world's biggest polluters. It is not that they think global warming doesn't exist.

Conclusion - yes, you do have to check multiple sources and exclude silly opinion columns such as this one.

These types of controversies are a result of our manipulated media. When I went to school, newspapers and reporters still had integrity. Their job was to investigate these types of issues responsibly.

Today, reporters are simply shills for the group paying them the most - no more, no less. Mr. Hansens article is somewhat true and I know it because I no longer pay any attention to what television, radio and newspapers espouse. Thanks to the Internet I can sort out the truth of things, although that is getting harder and harder to accomplish.

I have a feeling there are far more people out there who feel the same way. Pay attention you wannabe reporters - we probably don't believe you.

It is a sad state of affairs when those refusing to believe the science of climate change have to go out of the country to find sources that still support their misguided beliefs.

The Russians accusing the U.S. of controlling its people now that’s funny.
