According to the immigration reform bill, any illegal immigrant who’s been in the U.S. since on or before December 31, 2011, may apply for provisional status. Assuming he or she meets all of the legal requirements along the way, within 13 years he or she may be granted lawful permanent resident status.

During that 13-year time frame the immigrant must be employed by a U.S. employer and must be able to provide proof of employment.

Under Obamacare, employers with more than 50 employees are required to either provide healthcare benefits or pay a $3,000 fine every time one of their workers has to subscribe to Obamacare’s insurance exchange subsidies.

However – and here’s the catch – during that 13-year interim period, the immigrant is not eligible for any federal benefits, which includes Obamacare. So the employer doesn’t have to provide healthcare benefits because the illegal immigrant couldn’t apply for Obamacare subsidies if he wanted to.

How does this affect the average American? Obviously, employers will save money when they hire an illegal because they won’t have to provide health insurance.

Scarier still, they can actually afford to offer higher wages to illegals so they can hire them in place of legal American citizens.

You do realize that your post makes absolutely no sense, right Mr. Dockter?

    Hmm,

I made a statement that LaRaza, which consists of mostly legal Hispanics in the U.S, by the way, supports Arpaio's removal. But I never said all legal Hispanics are opposed to Arpaio's removal. Keep telling yourself that it's all legal Hispanics, Ms. Bobin. But it's just not the case.

And that's why the "legal" Hispanic community was the group that wanted him prosecuted for profiling, right?

Keep telling yourself that, Mr. Dockter, it might make you feel better about supporting the face of racism in Arizona.

    Ms. Bobin,

Sheriff Arpaio is well liked in the legal Hispanic community. Otherwise he wouldn't have been re-elected so many times. Furthermore, legal Hispanics continue to be very vocal about the suppression of wages because of Illegal Hispanics. It seems to me if Arpaio is such a racist why are there groups for open borders such as LaRaza making these complaints?

Joe Arpaio was just convicted of profiling by a federal judge.

Too bad he won't be removed from office and/or jailed for his crimes and abuse of power.

    He should rot in hell.

    Ms Bobin stated,

The article, an exact mirror of the February Guzzardi column, accuses NOT Schumer, but MARCO RUBIO of the exact same transgressions that Guzzardi accused Schumer of committing in his February column.

    -Chuckle,
Ms. Bobin acts as if SHE has never backpeddled

    Ms. Bobin stated,

Let's get to the CORE of the problem - corrupt corporations who are lobbying equally corrupt politicians to bring low-paid workers here.

-Horse Manure!Q If the likes of Ms. Bobin were really interested in counteracting the problem above they wouldn't be villifying not only Joe Guzzardi but Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio too. Intstead they just make up reasons why they don't back their play such as they are playing politics. Yet it is the very people like Ms. Bobin who are playing the politics that causes all the gridlock.

it is very interesting that things at Californians for Population Stabilization change so quickly. Back in February, Joe Guzzardi, (http://www.capsweb.org/content.php?id=1918) in this referenced article, was accusing Chuck Schumer of "throwing Marco Rubio under the bus," but today, CAPS (Joe Guzzardi's patron organization) is throwing Marco Rubio under the bus (http://pn.newsblaze.com/story/2013052310200200002.pnw/topstory.html).

The article, an exact mirror of the February Guzzardi column, accuses NOT Schumer, but MARCO RUBIO of the exact same transgressions that Guzzardi accused Schumer of committing in his February column.

What's up Joe? Can't decide who the real "bad guy" is?

Why not go after the corporate interests who are insisting that they cannot find "qualified" American citizens to fill all of these jobs? Their main goal is to hire candidates who they can pay less than 2/3's of the salary that American citizens would earn.

Let's get to the CORE of the problem - corrupt corporations who are lobbying equally corrupt politicians to bring low-paid workers here.

Guzzardi is attempting to make this a Democrat vs. Republican problem.

    What a joke.
