If US Citizen-voters think that this year's voting procedure will be any different than 4 years ago, then I can only feel sorrow for such inability to learn.

I called it, that is, in a general sense.

During the campaign, I mocked the procedure for eliminating Ron Paul, and I basically laughed at US Citizen-voters for buying into the national media campaign to support President Obama.

    Good column.
My only comment is that I called it 3-1/2 years ago.

Frederick is right: Competitive bidding didn't work out for Beech.
On one hand, Embraer has been building, selling, and supporting this plane for, what?, a decade or more. Beech's entry is new and untested, unproven.
Second, the aircraft will be built in Jacksonville, Florida. Similar to the Hondas and Toyotas that are built in the US.

Obama "probably" did not review the specs, proposals, and detailed engineer reviews. I hep that he assigns knowledgeable people to perform those tasks.

Sorry Joe, but the process used to make the award is called "competative bidding" and American companies, especially in the aeorspace sector, have a long list of over bidding because they were the only games in town. Apparently Beechcraft learned nothing from the Air Force tanker project that was originally awarded to Airbus. They should have put their very lowest bid in first and then hoped they were low enough.

As for Obama having something to do with this......I know you dislike Obama, but President's have better things to do with their time than worry about fixing a single bid. The Air Force made the decision and it should stand if they have the lowest resposible bid.
