One major difference, Joe: Hoover didn't have the main stream media of the day supporting him beyond reality as they do for Obama. The media, with few exceptions is totally in the tank for this guy. Undeservedly, I might add.

Jerry stated...Why is it that everyone is so stupid that they think the President has so much to do with the economy

I think Jerry makes a good point in that presidents can only do so much. The Senate and Congress obviously control the revenue and laws.
However, the president definitely influences the conversation, direction and business atmosphere of our nation and the direction the economy finds itself in. Does anyone think Obamacare would have become law of the land had Obama not made it his priority? Does anyone not think that Obamacare is having a significant influence on our economy? I hope not.

Why is it that everyone is so stupid that they think the President has so much to do with the economy? He has little power regarding that and you should be booting out every incumbent Senator and Representative including Guzzardi's list of losers. But what should I expect... none of you read books do you?

    Blaming Obama won't help.
Voters have noone to blame but themselves.
Voters turned on the television when Obama was campaigning, and Obama walked on water during his campaign.
That's according to CNN. Voters only wanted to see that their candidate was endorsed by CNN.
Fox news concealed Ron Paul's true status.

Actually, President Clinton had an instrumental role in establishing the North American Free Trade Area, and China was granted most-favored nation status. Then, during the Cheney administration, a multitude of Free Trade Area treaties followed.

All of these treaties effectively transferred American jobs outside the borders.
