I certainly hope that Mrs. Paden is not serious, or has not taken seriously, her last little tidbit of information. As written, it sounds like she believes this information to be true.

As I recalled coming to class prepared with questions was the difference between college and high school. You were expected to not waste the instructor's time and read ahead to be up to speed and on the same page when you came to class. You push in college and pull in high school as a teacher and the opposite as a student. It had to do with maturity and who is paying the bill for the education. Discipline learned early is of benefit to all.

Yes , Mr. Kinderman will be an interesting and challenging columnist. He is always well informed whether you agree with him or not . - Good luck Sir .

I’m glad to welcome Jerome Kinderman to the ranks of local Lodi News-Sentinel columnists. I have always enjoyed his comments and Letters to the Editor as well-thought out and right to the point.

    I couldn't agree more!
Mr Kinderman and Ms Paden are both refreshing and interesting to read.
