Uh, yeah. Of course Jerry Kinderman, man of the world, would never imply any type of racial stereotypes in his purely racist rant in this column.

Brian, why don't you be a guest columnist?

You certainly couldn't do any worse then your fellow Pharisee.

Your Welcome. You do have a knack at Balkinizing. Perhaps you should forward the column to the White House press secretary James Carney and see what his sentiments are since you're so sure you're right about Jerry. Actually, Jerry should forward the column to him too. It's probably one of the better assessmants of the First Family. Aside from a small element of construcxtive criticism, I would almost bet it might make it to the President himslef. It's all in the eyes of the beholder, Ms. Bobin.

Again, you keep proving my points, Mr. Dockter.

    Thanks!

It seems to me it is Ms Bobin doing ther race hustling here. Of course she is sure beyond a shadow of a doubt Jerry would not have written this type of a letter if the First Family was White. Even though there is not one reference of thre first Family's race Ms Bobin still finds some way to extrapolate it was Jerry's intention to play the race card.

    Jerry,

Thanks for the good column and a very good assessment of the First Family. Aside from those in the Peanut Gallery, I woud say the vast majority of us don't see any racism in your piece. Of course you don't wish the girls would get in trouble so you could say I told you so. Frankly, the day the Peanut Gallery actually agrees with you that's when I start ot worry.

Oh, and the gates of hell have now re-opened with the declaration of Cheney Junior for senator from Wyoming.

God help the US of A.

I think it makes him look older. Not kinder. Not a wise sage. Just older.

And although I didn't think so at first, he is kind of rough on the President. Although some other conservative zealot has saw fit to find a site that purports to the number of accumulated days this President has taken on vacation.

Bush? Those were working vacations. Vacations removing natural habitat of indigenous species, no doubt to prevent their removal in the future.

I understand Vice-president Cheney liked to hunt. Other people, but still hunting. And the US Secret Service to gun down anyone who challenged him.

Joanne, I kind of like the cap.

It ads caricature... I mean character.

    "exclusive access to facts."

The facts according to who or whom? The fact that it is" surprising" that two little black girls have "stayed out of trouble?"

Since JFK's presidency, the first I can recollect, I can only think of one set of "First Children" who have not avoided "trouble."

And that is aside from Ronald Reagan's train wreck of a "blended family." - but that doesn't count since they were all adults when he became president.

Who were the perpetually "drunk, underage" children in the tabloids almost monthly?

Don't you actually have to get published to call yourself a writer? Has Jerry been published? Perhaps he could refrence some of his published material so we could read something from our local writer or is jerry just saying he can spell?

The LNS prints opinion letters from all sides as none have shown to have exclusive access to facts.

Great comments and seemingly very true. Only in livable, lovable Lodi!

    "a writer"

That's how the author describes himself.

As a frequent poster on the LNS comments section, Jerry's causes are well known. He writes a lot. He frequently writes about things that displease him. Or things that frighten him. Or abortion. And since he's been at it for years, it's typically it's just a rehash of the same old issues, over and over and over.

    But that's OK.

It's a privilege provided by the LNS to share our opinions online here.

He's just taking advantage of the free services.

    He's enjoying himself.

    Or is he??

    [huh]

"Let the First Family take a vacation in peace"

Today we have a variation of the typical theme...

Jerry targets the First Lady and the girls, instead of the president.

In doing so, the author reveals his neuroses' roots.

    Again.

    [shock]

"to make up for childhoods that have been interrupted due to choices their parents made?"

    Unresolved abandonment issues.

"That’s pretty much all I can say against her"

I'm confident that I've interpreted the author's writings correctly.

It's my opinion that "collectively" his writings and comments...

Are from a man in distress!!

More then just a need for attention.

    More then just entertainment.

But an actual cry for help.

    I'm serious.

    [wink]

    Amazing!

I must suppose that the Lodi News Sentinel actually enjoys printing such backdoor condescending/racist claptrap, or the editor simply does not recognize this garbage as such when he/she sees it.

Let's see...."Personally, I’m proud of Malia and Natasha (known as “Sasha”) for being so well-behaved and staying out of trouble."

As opposed to most black youths who do not? These two girls were adolescents when the president took office. Malia is now 15. What does kind of "trouble" does Jerry Kinderman think they could be getting into? Underage drinking, like the Bush twins?

Please. If a professional editor does not recognize this as blatently biased, I don't think that person should be in a position to say "yea" or "nay" to what is published in the paper for which he/she has responsibility.

Again...."as far as Michelle Obama is concerned, I suppose I can understand the arrogance that seems to emanate from her as she navigates the difficult waters as First Lady."

You can "understand the arrogance?" Why? Because she should be on the defensive at all times because she is black? Because this is the best opportunity she has ever had in her life? Because she wants to show white folks that she's up to the job?

    Disgusting.

Apparently, "Jerry" Kinderman has not seen very much of the First Lady if he believes that she is "not overly warm and friendly." I have seen her on many, many different programs and she has always been "warm and friendly." I would love to meet her in person, in fact.

And...."anxiously wait for the U-Haul to pull up at the People’s House to usher out the 44th President of the United States."

Really? "the People's House?" Like he has been squatting illegally? "the U-Haul?" Any number of other terms could have been used to describe the departure of the Obama's possessions, but "U-Haul?"

As if that were the most appropriate way to describe how a ghetto family would move their belongings. I'm surprised "Jerry" Kinderman didn't say "the broken down old Ford station wagon with "Granny Robinson" strapped to a rocking chair on top!

I have reluctantly re-subscribed to the LNS - being "bribed" by an extremely low subscription price...I'm now rethinking that decision.

This column is disgusting and insulting to the man who is the most powerful person in the world AND his family.

SHAME, SHAME on the LNS for printing this trash!
