(NAPSI)—H ere’s a school statistic many families may be happy to learn: More than 245,000 children are in publicly funded private school choice programs.

That’s according to a leading national organization promoting educational choice, the Alliance for School Choice. The group’s School Choice Yearbook is the annual award-winning publication offering the most comprehensive data on the nation’s private school choice programs. It found:

• Private school choice programs saw an increase of more than 35,000 students from last year.

• The state with the most students benefiting from private school choice is Florida, with more than 76,000 students in two programs.
