(Family Features) After a record shattering amateur career, Honolulu native Carissa Moore became the youngest surfer ever to become a World Champion at just 18 years old. Two years later, at the age of 20, she did it again.  Now, at the mid-point of the 2014 surfing season, Carissa currently sits in first place with her eyes focused firmly on nailing down a third World Title.

Following her inspiration

Winning a World Title is no easy feat, so Moore looks to her family, her loyal dog, and her boyfriend for inspiration. Not surprisingly, she also finds inspiration in her fellow surfers.

"I'm really inspired by my peers and being around such strong, powerful women. They really push me to progress and innovate in my own surfing." Moore Said. "That's one of the reasons I'm so excited to be partnering with Schick, because we're all about inspiring and empowering women to have the confidence to chase their dreams."

One simple beauty tip

In addition to the rigorous training that keeps her in tip-top shape, Moore works hard to take care of herself in other ways, too.

"Surfing is a demanding sport, so I train hard to keep my body in the best shape possible," Moore said.  "I spend a lot of time in the water so it's really important that I take care of my skin too. I love my Schick Hydro Silk razor because it helps hydrate my skin and keeps my legs smooth so I'm always ready to hit the waves."

Schick Hydro Silk provides an incredibly close shave that hydrates more than any other razor, designed to meet a woman's desire for silky smooth legs while helping to protect skin from irritation. A water-activated moisturizing serum helps replenish skin's natural moisture for up to two hours after shaving, keeping legs soft and smooth. Plus, the handle has a soft rubber grip for easy handling.

More in store for young athlete

Moore's upcoming competition schedule includes trips to France, Portugal and California. All of her hard work will culminate later this year when she pursues her third world title while competing in her home state of Hawaii.

You can find Schick Hydro Silk Refillable and Disposable razors at mass drug and grocery stores nationwide. For more information, visit Facebook.com/SchickHydroSilk.
