Stanley Lee Swingle, 69, of Galt, died Nov. 12. He was born Aug. 3, 1942 in Lodi.

Mr. Swingle retired from the United States Marine Corps. Following his discharge, he went in the restaurant business prior to retirement. He enjoyed playing video poker, going to casinos and watching western movies.

He is survived by his wife, Eileen Swingle; sons, Jeff Swingle and Steve Swingle; daughters, Carol Mavar and Karin Dietrich; sisters, Betty Edwards, Kai Thoni and Gg Hutson; and nine grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in the chapel of Donahue Funeral Home. There will be no visitation.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or to the American Cancer Society.

Donahue Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
