Marshall Smith Johnson, 98, of Lodi, died May 3. He was born Aug. 20, 1914, in Lewisville, Texas.

Mr. Johnson was a welder. He served in the U.S. Army. He was a member of English Oaks Seventh-day Adventist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Eunice Johnson; daughter, Michelle Golladay; sisters, Mary Pranther, Donna Sinclair, and Catherine Joelson; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mildred Johnson; brothers, Jasper Johnson, Grover Johnson and Bobby Johnson; sister, Ruby Stewart.

A chapel service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Lodi Funeral Home. Committal will be private. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at Lodi Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the 3ABN, Three Angels Broadcast Network, at P. O. Box 220, West Frankfort IL, 62896-0220.

Lodi Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
