Kevin Earl Pence, 40, of Lodi, died on Nov. 7. He was born Nov. 10, 1966.

Mr. Pence was a San Joaquin County deputy sheriff for 18 years. He graduated from Tokay High School in 1985 and married his wife, Brenda, in 1989.

He enjoyed spending time with his family and watching his daughter dance and his son play sports. He also enjoyed vacations to Disneyland with his extended family, camping, hunting and fishing.

He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Brenda Pence; daughter, Jessica Pence; son, Kevin Pence Jr.; parents, Frank and Bonnie Pence; and brother, Matt Pence.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. today at Berea Baptist Church of Morada, 4847 E. Quashnick Road. A celebration of life will follow at 1 p.m. at Micke Grove Park.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Kevin Pence Memorial Fund at Farmers & Merchants Bank.
