Thomas Duane Hanson, 84, of Lodi died Nov. 19. He was born March 7, 1928, in Mitchell, S.D.

Mr. Hanson served in the U.S. Navy from 1950 to 1954. He saw three tours of duty on the USS Bataan, CVL 29, during the Korean War. He retired in 1994 from Pacific Coast Producers Can Division after 15 years of service. He attended St. Anne’s Catholic Church.

He is survived by his wife, Doris; sons, Greg Hanson of Powell, Ohio, and Steve Hanson of Lodi; daughters, Deb Moberg of Stockton and Tricia Graddy of Lodi; sister, Peg Paris of Rapid City, S.D.; and seven grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Lori; brothers, Glenn Jr. and Jim; and sister, Jean.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Dec. 2 at Cherokee Memorial Park, Highway 99 and East Harney Lane, Lodi.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of San Joaquin, 3888 Pacific Ave. Stockton, CA 95204; or the American Cancer Society, 207, E. Alpine Ave., Stockton, CA 95204.

Cherokee Memorial Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
