Helen Myra Tockey, 94, of Lodi, died Aug. 4. She was born Helen Myra Babcock on July 9, 1914, in Eureka Township, Iowa.

Mrs. Tockey moved to California in her 20s and lived in Lodi for the last 54 years. She drove convoy for the military during World War II and also worked at the Cosmopolitan "Cosmo" Restaurant. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Lodi.

She is survived by her daughter, Diane Brauer; brother, Howard Babcock; three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald L. Tockey, in 1992; son, Jerry L. Tockey; and brothers, Everet Babcock, William Babcock, George Babcock and Dale Babcock.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Cherokee Memorial Park, Lodi.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Foundation.

Cherokee Memorial Park is assisting the family with arrangements.
