Charles D. Myers, 89, of Lodi, died Nov. 2. He was born Aug. 9, 1924, in Colorado.

Mr. Myers served in the U.S. Army during World War II. Charles worked for many years as an insurance auditor and inspector. He enjoyed traveling in his RV and gardening, and was a member of American Legion Post 12 in Selma.

He is survived by his wife, Jeanine Myers of Lodi; sons, Stephen Myers of Pine Grove, David Myers of Oregon, Rick Myers of Rio Vista, and Kevin Myers of San Bruno; 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his sister, a half-brother and two half-sisters.

A military service will be held at 1 p.m. Nov. 23 at Cherokee Memorial Park in Lodi, Highway 99 and East Harney Lane, followed by a celebration of his life at the Vintage, 2145, W. Kettleman Lane, at 2 p.m.

Memorial contributions may be made to the San Joaquin Hospice, 3888 Pacific Ave., Stockton, CA 95204.

Cherokee Memorial Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
