Richard Cortez, 59, of Lodi, died June 1. He was born on Aug. 19, 1943 in Michigan.

Mr. Cortez was an industrial warehouse worker for 10 years.

He is survived by his wife, Dolores Cortez; daughter, Teresa Cortez; son, Gabriel Cortez; brothers, Ernest Cortez and Edward Cortez; sisters, Roselinda Cortez, Mary Lopez, Velia Echaeverria, Eva Durran, Alva Gonzales and Laura Miramontes; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his sons, Ernest Cortez and Ruben Cortez.

Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Lodi Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held on Thursday at 10 a.m. at Cherokee Memorial Park.

Lodi Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
