Patricia Ann Ahern, 78, of Galt, died Nov. 30. She was born Patricia Ann Street on June 2, 1935, in Grundy Center, Iowa.

Mrs. Ahern graduated from high school in Gladbrook. She attended the Institute of Business in Des Moines, Iowa, receiving her license as a comptometer operator. She was employed at Royal Oaks Convalscent Hospital, serving in many different capacities. She enjoyed traveling, playing cards, knitting, reading, camping, volunteer work with multiple community organizations and spending time with family and friends.

She is survived by her husband, George Ahern of Galt; son, Ronald W. Browning of San Pedro; daughter, Lolis M. Browning of Galt; and one grandson.

She was preceded in death by her her husband, Melvin L. Browning; son, James Lee Browning; and brothers, Darroll and James Lee Street.

A celebration of her life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Galt United Methodist Church.

Ben Salas Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
