Gay Wells, 94, of Lodi, died July 21. She was born Aug. 24, 1918 in Salem, Ore.

Mrs. Wells was a homemaker who enjoyed making quilts, sewing, gardening and helping others. She taught Sabbath School and was a kindergarten leader in Roseburg. She was a member of English Oaks Seventh-day Adventist Church.

She is survived by her son, Ron Wells; daughters, Dottie Hunt and Wanda Moen; brothers, Ardnal and Orren Nash; sisters, Mary Poissot, Roberta Anderson, Olive Ford, Byrl Ford, Pauline Stokes and Fayetta Smith; five grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Wells.

Committal will be private.

Lodi Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
