Charles Douglas Lemmon, 72, of Lodi, died on Jan. 8. He was born on March 5, 1940 in Columbus, Ohio.

Mr. Lemmon served in the U.S. Navy. He worked as an animal control officer for the city of Lodi until he retired. He enjoyed reading, listening to classical music and watching sports, particularly football.

He is survived by his sons, Scott Lemmon and Andrew Lemmon; daughters, Susan Harris and Tammy Lemmon; sister, Carol Belinfantel; and six grandchildren and one great-grandson.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Jeanette Lemmon; son, Bill Lemmon; and sister, Martha Jo Catario.

A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at Cherokee Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Lodi Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetic Association.

Lodi Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
