Mary Plog

A memorial service for Mary Elizabeth Erwin Plog, 94, of Lodi, who died Oct. 17, will be held at 11 a.m. today at Grace Presbyterian Church, 10 N. Mills Ave., Lodi. Interment will be in the Chapel of Light in Fresno.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Disabled American Veterans or the Sierra Club.

A memorial service for Wanda Carlson Lippert, 99, of Lodi, who died Oct. 16, will be held at 11:30 a.m. Friday at Lodi Funeral Home, 725 S. Fairmont Ave., Lodi. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Joan Gaines

A memorial service for Joan Marie Gaines, 77, who died Oct. 10, will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at "Mom's House," 4817 Cosmos Drive, Stockton.

Kenneth Whitmer

A memorial service for Kenneth Dewayne Whitmer, 86, of Lodi and Galt, who died Oct. 13, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Sunday in the Evergreen Chapel at Cherokee Memorial Park, Highway 99 at East Harney Lane, Lodi. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Legion Post 22, 320 N. Washington St., Lodi, Ca 95240; or to a charity of the donor's choice.

Eugene 'Gene' Martin

A church service for Eugene "Gene" Martin, of Los Gatos and formerly of Lodi, who died Oct. 5, will be held at 3 p.m. on Nov. 3 at the First Unitarian Church of San José, 160 N. 3rd St., San José. Committal will be private.

W.E. 'Ed' Smith
