Phillip L. Elmer, 76, of Lockeford, died July 30. He was born on Dec. 26, 1935 in Hillsboro, Wis.

Mr. Elmer worked as an automobile mechanic at various garages and dealerships and was a farming equipment manager in Nevada and Oregon. He enjoyed hunting, camping, motorcycle riding and drag racing.

He is survived by his sons, Fred Elmer, of Lockeford, and Dennis Elmer, of Stockton; daughter, Sandra Beaudry, of Stockton; 11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, MaryLou Elmer; and brother, Pete Elmer.

A graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Glenview Cemetery in Clements. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday at Donahue Funeral Home.

Donahue Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
