Lewis P. Singer, 95, of Lodi, died May 28 in a local convalescent hospital. He was born Dec. 23, 1908, in Santa Cruz.
Mr. Singer lived in Lodi for the past 72 years. He was a residential and commercial contractor for 30 years until his retirement. He was a member and former master of Lodi Masonic Lodge No. 256, F & AM, the Lodi Hi-Twelve Club, Ben Ali Shrine Temple, a member and past president of the Tokay Shrine Club, past president and founding member of the Lodi Lions Club, and former member of the Lodi Library Board of Trustees. He enjoyed traveling.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Laura Singer, of Lodi; sons, Tom Singer, of Martinez, Lewis Singer III, of Mountain View; brother, Donald Singer, of San Mateo; and three grandchildren.
There will be no services and interment will be held in the Mountain View Cemetery in Oakland.
Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
