Consuelo 'Connie' Frausto

Consuelo "Connie" Frausto, 87, of Lodi, died Dec. 11. She was born in Del Rio, Texas.

Mrs. Frausto lived many years in Lodi and Burson. Prior to that, she lived in the South Bay Area. She worked for the Lodi Unified School District, working with the children of migrant workers. She also assisted physically and mentally challenged people, was a foster parent, and worked as a nurse in San Jose and Belmont.

She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Gregorio Frausto; son, Gregory Frausto, of Stockton; daughters, JoAnn Busseuil, of Lodi, and Connie Marie Rau, of Milpitas; brothers, Alfredo "Freddy" Vargas, Carlos Vargas and Jose "Charlie" Vargas; sister, Mary Decreau; six grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.

A funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday in the Evergreen Chapel at Cherokee Memorial Park, Highway 99 at East Harney Lane, Lodi. Interment will follow at Cherokee Memorial Park.

Cherokee Memorial Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
